Open Sesame: An Investigation of the Effects of a Group Support System on a Men's Counseling Group (original) (raw)
This investigation explores the effects of a Group Support System (GSS) on communication processes in a men's counseling group. The study found that GSS enhanced self-disclosure, feedback, and trust among members while providing a structured means to facilitate discussions, ultimately leading to greater cohesion and therapeutic benefits. Despite some limitations, such as the small sample size, the findings suggest that the GSS can aid in emotional healing and could be beneficial in organizational contexts, particularly in addressing challenges following downsizing.
