Mitigating Conflicts in Secondary Schools in Cameroon (original) (raw)
Conflicts in Cameroonian secondary schools have received little consideration, despite their increasing incidents and negative consequences. This paper analyzes the causes of student conflicts in Cameroonian secondary schools and proposes recommendations for more effective conflict management strategies. Conflicts among students in Cameroonian secondary schools have had detrimental consequences, such as student expulsions, injuries, and even deaths. These conflicts adversely affect students, schools, and the community. In response, school administrations have employed various approaches, like; counselors, law, and order, and dismissal by the perpetrator.
