Abstract
Rosa cymosa (Rosaceae) is a vigorous climbing rose from China, belonging to sect. Banksianae; its history, taxonomy, distribution, and cultivation requirements are discussed and there is a full description of the species. The clone depicted has striking, brightly coloured young foliage and has been provided with a cultivar name, ‘Rebecca Rushforth’.
