Snapshot of the Socio Economic Life of Fishermen Community Based On Social Entrepreneurship in Bone Regency, Indonesia

This article explains the application of the concept of social entrepreneurship in improving the socio-economic life of fishing communities in Bone Regency. Respondents have selected purposively as many as 80 heads of families, every 40 people in Bulubulu Village and Padatuo Village. Data collection uses observation and questionnaire techniques where the instruments are also used as interview guidelines. The researcher interviewed ten informants, apart from two village heads and the Head of Tonra. The data is presented in the form of a percentage table to be analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques. The research findings are that the socio-economic life of fishing communities in Bone Regency based on the "lived" social entrepreneurial perspective is a manifestation of a sense of moral responsibility, service and "worship" as individual beings, social beings and God's creatures. Local wisdom of coastal communities is one of the potential in supporting their survival amid limited capital and equipment for fishing. The tradition of petik laut and knowledge of the fish season is the wisdom of the local fishermen of Tambak Cemandi Village used to maximize seafood productivity. The similarity of socio-cultural background has formed the attitude of mutual cooperation and kinship among fishermen. Short communication: The Implementation of Local Wisdom Intervention by Bajo People In Eco-Friendly Artisanal Fishery In Torosiaje Gorontalo, Indonesia

BACKGROUND: The activity of aquaculture can cause an organic an d pesticide material stockpiling that adversely affects the bio diversity of coastal waters. Similarly, dangerous and toxic material utilisation in fishing has damaged the coastal ecosystem. The government and community have applied for acoas tal rehabilitation program, yet it is unsustainable because it has not been synergic w ith fishery development that the economy of the coastal community. OBJECTIVE: Reviewing the implementation of local wisdom intervention by Bajo people in the eco RESULTS: T here is a local wisdom in fishery activity by Bajo group reflected by their hierarchy division in fishing or called as Mamia Kadiolo . Bapongka, and Sasakai ; Pallibu is they who are fishing only one to two days and us ing Soppe/Leppa as their traditional boat with paddle, Bapongka back to their village one to two weeks after fishin g, and Sasakai for months. It is found an eco- friendly traditional fishing gear used by Bajo peop le that it is well- operated and selective fishing.The gear isknown as trawl, fishing rod, nets, arrows, sero, rumpon, bagang , poncong, and doa. CONCLUSION: The implementation of local wisdom intervention by Bajo community in fishery activities provides po sitive effect towards coastal and sea area in Torosiaje such as Mamia Kadialo that bans a littering that can damage marine ecosystem, and also Yaiyai Pangala Daya as their eco fishing gear.

The social mapping is intended to map social characteristics, as well as to analyze the driving and inhibiting factors of the fishing community in Cangkol Village, using a survey method with a questionnaire and analyzed descriptively. The research was conducted in April–June 2023. The fishing community of Kampung Cangkol is a community with the majority of middle-aged individuals graduating from elementary school, Muslim, with Cirebonese ethnicity who still preserve local traditions and wisdom. Challenges to the sustainability of small-scale fishers livelihood in Banyuwangi regency, East Java, Indonesia

Small-scale fishers in Indonesia face various challenges that threaten sustainability of their livelihood. However, since Indonesia consists of diverse sosio-cultural and natural resources conditions, the precise characteristics and nature of the challenges may vary from one location to anothers. Therefore, it is important to study these challenges in certain places in Indonesia. This study was conducted in two villages in Banyuwangi Regency, East Java Province, March-April 2018. Using a qualitative approach, this study shows that small-scale fishers of the research locations face a variety of challenges to their livelihoods. These challenges are two both from nature as well as from sosio-economics conditions. As from nature, climate change and environmental degradation are the most felt by the fishers. Mean while, as from the socio-economic dimensions, patron-client relations and Government policies, such as the prohibition of catching fries, are most felt problems.

Fishermen in Payum Village are still classified as small-scale traditional fishermen and live in the coastal area of ​​Merauke Regency.
