ABSTRACT: In the game of life, unexpected hands are dealt—sometimes a “Heavenly Hand,” other times an “Earthly Hand.” When our beloved friend falls seriously ill, fate’s sway becomes palpable. Relatives and friends gather like “Eighteen Arhats”, their unity bittersweet. Echoes of “Pair Pair Pong” shock our eyes, while whispered “Two Numbers” defy despair. The “Three Sisters” strive, “drawing hope of moon from the sea”, but all efforts prove in vain. Our bonds remain strong, memories lingering like a “Double Piao Dai.” Ambition soars with the “Four Fan Starting Hand,” laughter once shared in mahjong’s embrace.
