New Technologies for Inclusive Learning for Students with Special Educational Needs

In recent years, in the context of the educational reform, dominant position is held by the social demand for the inclusion of all students in the regular classroom and the request to redesign the educational process to align with the individualized needs of students. Τhe concept of inclusion, which view the heterogeneity in the light of social justice and equality, refers not simply to the placement of the SEN students in the mainstream school, but basically, to their dynamic engagement in every aspect of the educational process and in the social interactions that flow from it. "E-inclusive" pedagogy refers to teachers' decisions to providing their students innovative ways of learning and alternative means of completing their tasks, by incorporating the technology in the educational activities. The aim of this paper is to propose tech tools and e-services for the accessibility and active participation of students with special educational needs in teaching and learning procedures of the ordinary classroom and examine the role of teachers in realizing their inclusion/e-inclusion, as the main facilitators and modulators of the classroom settings to an open learning and development ecosystem. The results showed that teachers who provide authentic opportunities for interaction and learning for all their students and incorporate, flexibly, new technologies into their teaching strategies to meet their unique needs, contribute significantly to their acquisition of academic but mainly functional life skills, preparing them for substantial employment and integration opportunities in community life.

This study explores role of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) that are promoting inclusive education for students with disabilities. It is aiming to bridge the digital divide in educational access. Literature Review: Existing research highlights the potential of ICT tools to enhance learning outcomes for "students with disabilities". These are included though challenges like accessibility, affordability, and training persist. Methodology: Primary quantitative data collection method uses with a sample of 70 participants. Data was analysed for using IBM SPSS software to assess the effectiveness of ICT in inclusive education. Findings and analysis: Results show that ICT tools impact on accessibility and learning engagement. It has significant barriers remain, such as the high cost of assistive technologies, insufficient teacher training, and technical issues. Correlation analysis states as a weak relation between dependent and independent variables. Conclusion and recommendation: The study summarizes that ICT is important for comprehensive schooling that requires better foundation, moderateness, and educator support. Suggestions incorporate for putting resources into ICT framework that are improving instructor preparing, and advancing mindfulness for lessening social shame.
Increasing Special Education Students’ Literacy Through the Use of Specific Assistive Technology

The intent of this study was to see how specific online tools could be used to increase special education students’ literacy. The study took place in two public high schools in metropolitan areas. The students involved in the study included both general and special education students, males and females, and grade levels 9 through 12. Data was collected using preand postassessment reading tests, student/teacher reflections, vocabulary practice, and annotated readings. The study demonstrated the importance of factors we had not fully considered in planning the action research project, including the learning curve students experience using new technology. Student literacy skills showed no significant gains as a result of our intervention. We did improve on how to incorporate technology into our classrooms and in understanding how to complete a study on reading comprehension. Incorporating technology into instruction in a manner that supports students with disabilities can take many forms, can have multiple purposes, and can frequently change as technology evolves. Both policy and research contribute to this technology integration across teaching practices for students with a variety of academic and social/behavioral strengths and challenges. The purpose of this IC was to present the literature related to the use of technology for supporting the academic learning and engagement of students with disabilities and other diverse learning needs so that teacher educators can apply the literature to their teacher preparation programs. Because technology is constantly changing, we focused on broad themes that transcend individual technologies rather than identifying applications (apps) or software that may become outdated in the near future. We based our recommendations on the analysis of both policy and current educational research.
The use of technology in hybrid learning for student with special needs

This study aims to describe the use of technology in learning for students with special needs during the transition period after the COVID-19 pandemic to the new normal. This study is descriptive research with a survey method. The survey was conducted with 41 special education teachers with variety of special needs students. Data is collected using Google Form questionnaires. Data analysis is carried out by calculating the frequency and is presented as percentages. Participants in this study were chosen randomly for data variation. The presentation of data is carried out qualitatively based on the respondents' answers to the questions asked. The study participants argued that hybrid learning was feasible, even though it was recognized as encountering obstacles. Based on the results of a survey conducted by special education teachers at special education school (SLB), for hybrid learning, digital platforms are used to support online learning. The platforms used are WhatsApp and video conferencing, such as Google Meet. Integrating technology is considered important for teachers to support the learning process. Conscious and planned efforts and teacher motivation are critical to increasing their experience and skills in utilizing technology in learning.

Introduction. The study of the problem of introducing inclusive practices into the Russian education system is seen as an innovative process that is focused on creating a new school – a school for all. Like any innovation, inclusive education not only introduces new elements into the educational process of the school, but also defines a problematic field for research. The current world experience in the development of inclusion as a positive social model suggests that this practice will become viable in Russian society in general, and in education in particular. Presented study was set to analyze the existing practice of assessing the educational achievements of children with disabilities and identify the most effective digital tools adapted to the modern inclusive space. Materials and methods. The methodological research tool contains such methods as an analysis of the scientific literature on the issue of assessing the achievements of students in an inclusive school, the study and interpretation of scientific works of Russian and foreign scientists and practitioners. In addition, the package of methodological materials contains research tools that make it possible to clarify the need for targeted work in the aspect of increasing the professional competence of teachers in the field of assessing the educational results of children with special educational needs and the formation of a value attitude towards them. We used research data from the bibliographic database Scopus (Elsevier) from years 2019 to 2021 using keywords inclusive education AND digital learning. Results. The most effective digital tools for assessing the educational achievements of children with disabilities, which are used in foreign and Russian practice of inclusive education (e-inclusion, MyTestXPro, E-school bag, etc.), have been identified. An analysis of the potential of the digital environment in teaching children with special educational needs has shown that digital technologies significantly increase the educational potential of students. Conclusion. The use of digital tools for assessing the educational results of children with disabilities opens up great opportunities for improving educational pedagogical methods, interactive learning, sharing experiences and a creative approach to learning in an inclusive educational space. Theoretical and practical analysis of the potential of the digital environment in teaching children with special educational needs has shown that digital technologies significantly increase the potential of students.
