A Phenomenological Investigation Into The Experiences Of High-Achieving African American Male Student Athletes At Predominately White Institutions In The Southeast Region (original) (raw)
We started out as a group of friends, and that we will forever remain. I appreciate your kind words of encouragement, and constant support that we have shown each other throughout our doctoral journey. There were many times that we laughed, talked, stressed, and sometimes cried; however, we remained positive and strived to achieve our goals. I wish each of you good luck as you continue your doctoral studies. Thank you! Lastly, but certainly not least, I would like to thank my advisor and dissertation chair Dr. Kenny Fasching-Varner. Thank you for believing in me, and giving me the opportunity to study under your guidance. You have been an EXCELLENT advisor/chair, and I appreciate each time you challenged me to do better. When we first met, I knew I wanted you to be part of my LSU doctoral experience. Your friendly personality, and willingness to always help shall not go unmentioned.
