Traditional games are games that provide a special color of culture as well as the identity or characteristic of an area that needs to be maintained that aims to stimulate early childhood especially about the recognition of numbers in English.The purpose of this stud ratna.purwanti@ulm.ac.idy was to describe traditional games as a medium in learning English for early childhood. Implementation of Mandar Culture Based Educative Game to Improve Cognitive Ability in Early Children

I. INTRODUCTION Early Childhood Education as one of the keys to determining the nation's future plays an important role in strengthening local cultural values. This was further strengthened by the issuance of Minister of Education and Culture Regulation number 137 of 2014 concerning PAUD Standards Article 9 regarding content standards which require that themes and sub-themes be prepared according to the characteristics, needs, stages of child development, and local culture [1] & [2] On this basis, local culture-based PAUD learning management must be utilized, so that children can grow and develop optimally without forgetting their own noble cultural values. It is hoped that concerns about the impact of global education will gradually shift the position and bargaining power of local culture can be avoided by introducing local culture from an early age [3]. In addition, learning activities for early childhood must still be guided by the principles of early childhood learning, namely learning through play, so that learning objectives can be achieved. In addition, the importance of introducing local culture, in this case, Mandarin culture in early childhood. It's just that the increase in this ability is felt to be lacking in the Bunga Sartika Polewali Kindergarten (TK) Playgroup (KB). This is due to the lack of application of educative learning media based on local culture, especially Mandarin culture which is expected to be able to improve the cognitive abilities of early childhood as well as introduce Mandarin culture as a local regional culture. Therefore, learning media is needed that can help teachers, namely Educational Game Tools. One of the media in question is a mandar culture-based connecting board. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), with the aim of improving the cognitive and psychomotor abilities of early childhood through the implementation of Mandarin culture-based educational games. This research is expected to be a reference for kindergarten teachers in carrying out efficient, effective and innovative learning. The use of media in learning can develop cognitive abilities and shape the morale of students which are of course indicators of aspects of early childhood development. The results of this study indicate that through the application of Mandar local culture-based Education Games application media, the cognitive abilities of the children of TK Bunga Sartika Polewali, West Sulawesi can be increased, both from the teacher's teaching activities, children's learning activities, as well as from the results of student learning tests, which in the cycle I cognitive abilities of children related to types of musical instruments, special foods, dances, Mandar traditional clothing are in the sufficient category while in cycle II cognitive abilities are in the good category.

Being a phenomenon as old and universal as human history, game is one of the basic needs of children. Depending on these needs, where is a child, there is a game. Children could combine all their knowledge and skills required for life through games, explain themselves in a very easy way and exhibit their skills. Game, which is the most effective learning process for children, is a real means of education and provides us with carrying the knowledge attained throughout preschool period and school years from one generation to another and support the development of children in physical, cognitive, linguistic and social-emotional aspects. In this perspective, the current study was carried out to evaluate traditional child games which are a part of Turkish culture and about to disappear in terms of development fields of children. The study is a descriptive survey and the data of the research was obtained through personal interviews. The data was collected through "Interview Form for Traditional Child Games". The population of the study was made up of young people and adults at the ages of 18-88 chosen randomly and living in the town of Ilgin, the city of Konya in the years 2013 and 2014. The data of the research was analysed in descriptive analysis technique which is used as a descriptive research method. At the end of the study, it was found that games contribute to the motor, linguistic, cognitive and social emotional development fields of children and to their self-care to a great extent.

Giving educational stimulation in early childhood can be given through games. Traditional science-based games make an important contribution to supporting children's development. This study aimed to identify traditional games in Central Lombok Regency that can be played in early childhood and how to play traditional games to improve children's development. This research is survey research conducted at Central Lombok Regency. This research uses observation data collection methods, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study were six community leaders or cultural leaders and five teachers. Data analysis used descriptive qualitative analysis. The results showed that there were 28 identified traditional games. Traditional games are the result of past human cultural processes which are rich in local wisdom values. The games are played from generation to generation. They have many benefits, including vehicles and media, to stimulate early childhood development. However, traditional games are slowly starting to be forgotten; children tend to get used to the instant games available on smartphones or devices or other games that can be accessed in the centre of modern games. This habit causes children not to know what traditional games are. This research aimed to describe the existence of traditional games for early age children in Bengkulu. This research employed a literature study method. This study's results are expected to provide awareness to parents, teachers, and the community about the benefits of traditional games in stimulating children's development.

The purpose of this research to (1) Analyze the Influence of traditional "bakiak beregu" games on the socio-emotional ability of children aged 5-6 years at Kindergarden and (2) Analyze the Influence of traditional "bakiak beregu" " games on the gross motor abilitys of children aged 5-6 years at kindergarden. The research design uses the "quasy experimental design" research method which divides the experimental group and the control group. The experimental group was treated with the traditional "bakiak beregu" game while the control group was without treatment. Both groups were analyzed based on the posttest scores of children's social-emotional and gross motor abilitys. The study was conducted at Kindergarden in group B1 as an experimental class with 24 children and B2 as a control group of 24 children. Data collection techniques using the method of observation. The analysis used is a simple linear regression analysis. Traditional Game As a Way for Healthy in Bajo’s Children

Traditional games for children who live in urban areas was a significant activity. That was involved much physical activity and influenced psychological development in children. Generally, the traditional games were found in the low-income community and large area. The qualitative study described in this paper aimed to: (i) explore parents view about playing for their children; (ii) explore teachers view about academically benefit of the traditional game for students. Semi-structured, in depth-interviews, were interviewed conducted with two parents of Bajo' Tribe and three teachers of the elementary school. The result showed that traditional games are important for children's physical and psychological health (cognition, emotion, and social aspects). Implications for future will consider local wisdom based-curriculum in kindergarten and elementary school. Traditional games are important for student's psychological health, as well as physical health.

This study aims to find out how big the effectiveness of traditional games on the Development of Social Capabilities of Children in Baiturridha Kindergarten Padang Pariaman. Research type is Quantitative research with experiment method. The sample of this study was determined based on Cluster Sampling. Instrument research using instrument grille. Instrument analysis by performing test validity and test reliability. Technique of collecting data by doing observation and test. Technique of data analysis using normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test. The result of this research shows that t count > t table, that is 9,037> 2,073, it can be concluded that the development of social ability of children in experimental class using traditional game is more effective than control class using modern game.
Traditional Game-Based Learning Model In Early Childhood Education: A Case Study at TKIT Al-Hikmah

This study aims to describe the implementation of a traditional children's game-based learning model to train visual-spatial intelligence of kindergarten students. A descriptive qualitative method was employed to describe systematic, factual, and accurate facts, properties, and the relationship between the phenomena studied. This study also uses holistic reflection methods through the meaning of learning games for children which can promote their visual-spatial abilities. The students of TKIT Al-Hikmah Secang, Magelang were involved as the research subjects. The results indicate that traditional games can train children’s visual-spatial intelligence and such games can be revived. The applied learning model offers moral and social education and is strongly suggested to be implemented in early education to strengthen visual-spatial intelligence and the other multiple intelligences.
