Abstract
In this research study, the teacher takes improvement action by implementing Problem Based Learning (PBM) in problem solving: lack of problem solving ability, critical thinking ability and learning achievement. The objectives of the research are: to describe improvement steps by using problembased learning methods for developing critical thinking ability, problem solving ability, student’s achievement and identify the constraints during the process of action implementation and the solution. This research was conducted using a classroom action research method (CAR) which concluded in three cycles, and each cycle consists of four steps of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were analyzed descriptive qualitative.
