INTEGRATING EGYPTIAN AND JAPANESE COSTUMES AS A SOURCE OF INSPIRATION IN INNOVATIVE FASHION DESIGNS FOR WOMEN.

Every country has its own unique culture, which is different from others.This makes an incentive to know how different cultures are. Culture of Egypt and Japan Are different. They represent a challenge for designers to integrate both cultures in innovative fashionable designs. The present study aims to explore the characteristics of Sinai dress (Thoub) and Japanese Kimono, and create fashion designs for women at the age group (25-40 years) inspired by both. As a result, Historical study of Sinai and Japanese costumes is useful to create fashion designs for women. It reflects the characteristics of both costumes and integrating the cultures of both countries. The present study creates a new method to design outfits for women, which reflects the Egyptian and Japanese cultures by using the intersection areas that results from overlaying the technical drawings of both Sinai dress (Thoub) and kimono as a source of inspiration of proposed designs.

The added decorative details are used for identification and visual communication by the wearer and comprehension and visual appreciation by the viewer. Abstract Objectives: The continuity and revival of the heritage and raise the level of artistic taste, and to be inherited from the artworks a source of innovation to produce works of art serving different areas, to become a community of traditional Egyptian arts beads distinctive that emphasizes self-belonging to the environment for fashion trends. Methodology: The article followed the descriptive, analytical and experimental approach. This article was limited to the study of Egyptian clothes for traditional beads woven fabric in fashion trends for garments of Egyptian origin. Data sources and methods of collection: The field study was conducted using a number of sources to obtain the most accurate and objective article data. These included: personal interview, observation, and systematic recording of data and information through codification, photography and illustrations obtained through the above, get it from the engravings and experience the different ways to make sure it is correct. Results and discussion: The structure of beads is the most common. The beads are made of natural materials that were within easy reach of the hands and made from the silt available on the surface of the earth for easy formation and drying. Beads were used in all cultures and at all times during different historical eras. It had a fascinating effect across the globe. And its various purposes, it was important in decoration and decoration, as was a manifestation of wealth. In 21 st century, where visual elements become very important, fabric and clothing designs are used as an important tool for carrying cultural heritage to the next generations. On the other hand, today's consumption culture forces designers to have a wider approach for inspiration. At this point, tangible or intangible local cultural elements are important sources that can meet this need. With this respect, in this study, which is aimed to create a collection development process model for designers as well as promoting and carrying the cultural heritage, idols belong to Anatolian civilizations from early bronze age are used as a source of inspiration. Capsule fabric and garment collections have been prepared by using this new process model, based on culture oriented design aspect, in the direction of contemporary and universal design approaches. As a result, it was ensured that the cultural items can be used as a design element and it is concluded that designing a product with local features in order to emphasize its cultural value has become a critical issue in the textile and fashion design process.

Study on Usage of Fabric Remnants on Yemeni’s Fashion for Women

Transformative Adoption of Traditional ‘Kantha’ Embroidery to Modern Fashion Design Through ‘Khadi’ Fabric

For the clothing-based industry, conventional elements' presence in a design increases its demand and acceptance. Nowadays technology plays a vital role in the development of fashion, but it's never the replacement of traditional elements applied to modern fashion design. The author has at first studied the Khadi fabric, Bangladesh from the perspective of its distinctive regional background and social-cultural milieu. Besides the traditional technique, conventional fabric using in the dress design will enhance its morality and aesthetic appearance. The purpose of this study is to explore the traditional Kantha embroidery which will be revitalized through a design process in order to archive its characteristics, heritage, and practice. The results of this study signify a design process from traditional art to modern dress design process through analyzing of mind mapping, mood board, color board, style board, accessories board, fabric swatch, and the final sketch. The outcome of this research will show the transformation of traditional Kanta embroidery which will be adopted by Khadi fabric in order to generate a new trend of the design process in Bangladesh.
