2021
Seing the local potential that is owned by people of Topo Village, Tidore Island City, it is necessary to carry out special research related to the Risk Analysis of Topo local shallot farming. This risk analysis research is very important considering of many factors that causes the failure of local topo shallot farming. The research purposes is to determine the farming and to analyze the production risks, cost and income of topo local shallot farming in Topo Village, Tidore Islands City. The methods used in this research are farm analysis and risk analysis. The results of this research are the average of production cost in five times productions process used in the topo local shallot farming in Topo Village is Rp. 184,475,500, with a total production of 10,265 kg so the income obtained by farmers is Rp. 331,532,500/growing season. For the risk analysis, the highest risk is the cost risk with a coefficient of variation by 8.6, this is due to the high cost of production. Meanwhile, th...
The Effect of Production Factor of Onions Production
JASc (Journal of Agribusiness Sciences), 2017
The aim of the study was to find out the effect of land area, seeds, fertilizer, pesticide and workers on the production of onions, to know the elasticity of production factor of onions cultivation and appropriateness of onions cultivation. The result of this research can be concluded that simultaneously (serempak) onions production were influenced by wide of land area, seeds, fertilizer, pesticide and workers by 96%. The statistical test results obtained by the value of Multiple R of 0.98, it meant there was a close relationship between land area, seeds, fertilizer, pesticide and workers of onions production by 98%. Partially, the variable of land area, seeds and pesticides have significant effect on onions production with 95% confidence level, while the variable of fertilizer and workers did not have effect significantly of onions production at 95% confidence level, appropriateness of onions cultivation based on R / C and B / C Ratio was feasible to cultivate.
Effect ; of Bulb Slicing and Organic Fertilizer On Growth and Yield of Onion
2010
The objective of the research was to find out a suitable bulb slicing and kind of organic fertilizer for a maximum growth and yield of onion. This research applied a randomized complete block design (RCBD), 3 by 3 with 3 replications. Factors observed were bulb slicing and kinds of organic fertilizer. Bulb slicing consisted of no cut, cut of one-third, and cut of one-fourth of onion bulbs. Organic fertilizer consisted of compost, manure of cow and manure of chicken. Variables observed were plant height, a number of onion tillers per bunch, a number of onion bulbs per bunch, wet and dry weight of bulbs per bunch. Result showed that bulb slicing significantly affected a number of onion tillers per bunch at 30 day after planting (DAP), 45 DAP, and a number of onion bulbs per bunch. However, bulb slicing did not significantly affect plant height at 15 DAP and dry weight of bulb per bunch. The best growth and yield was found at cut of one-fourth of the bulb. Organic fertilizer showed a s...

Leafminer (Liriomyza sp.) is an exotic pest that currently has become a new major pest at the onion crops in Palu Valley- Central Sulawesi and it may reduce the yields up to 100%. The study was aimed to investigate the infestation level of leafminer on three local varieties of onion in Palu and to identify the leafminer species infested the onion crops. The experiment was arranged in a completely randomized design with three treatments of local onion varieties (Palu, Palasa, and Tinombo) and six replicates. The onion seeds were grown in plot of 6 x 4 m and five plants were randomely chosen as the samples to observe the percentage of pest infested and the yields. The imago of leafminer from each onion variety were collected and brought to the laboratory for identification. The results showed that the averages of infestation intensity of leafminer were 48.1 % (Palu), 47.6 % (Palasa), and 65.9 % (Tinombo) while the dry weight of bulb per 5 plant samples were 133.3 g (Palu), 120 g (Palasa), 0 g (Tinombo). The results indicated that Palu and Palasa varieties be more resistance to leafminer. The leafminer attacking onion crops in Palu is Liriomyza chinensis as indicated by some morphological characters observed

Stable and adaptive superior varieties play an important role in increasing plant productivity. The technological innovation was carried out by studying of the yield GEI. However, if only paying attention to yield GEI would not be enough in selecting stable and adaptive varieties, so this research used a combination of AMMI and SEM methods. Through the SEM-AMMI, GEI modeling was carried out by taking into account the physiological processes of growth and genotype development which explained the relationship between yield GEI components and how it affected yield GEI. The results of the AMMI biplot showed that genotypes were adaptable and relatively stable were planted in five planting locations, namely Biru Lancor and Tinombo. SEM test results showed that the yield component has an effect on production yield, where the tuber weight above the average will gave relatively more onion yields and genotypes planted in relatively low locations, soil pH above 6 and dusty clay soil conditions...

The farming sector is an important part of Indonesia’s national development due to its availability of foodstuffs, industrial resources, bio-energy, labor absorption, and income source for the rural populace. The horticultural practices, such as farming vegetables, fruits, medicinal herbs and ornamental plants, are strategic subsectors in the progression of the national and regional farming industry. This study aims to determine the performance of farming and to compare the income of horticultural farming of cabbage and shallots in the Poso Regency. A combined method is utilized in this research. Qualitative data analysis will descriptively portray the production and processing stages, cost, market access, and farmers’ income, while quantitative analysis will calculate the profit and Return-Cost Ratio. The research shows that farmers’ revenue depends on the size of land they possess. After a planting season, the net income of shallot farmers is between Rp 116.045.237 and Rp139.647.7...
