Pregnancy is a dramatic episode of the condition of the biologicals, psychological changes and adaptations of a woman who never experienced it. Since during pregnancy, the mother has been experiencing anxiety. Anxiety increased towards birth, especially in the third trimester. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of health workers related to anxiety levels of third trimester pregnant women in face the birth process in maternity room Anutapura Palu General Hospital. The type of study was analytic survey used cross sectional approach. Sample total was 35 respondents with the sampling technique used purposive sampling method. The analysis in this study were univariate and bivariate. The results showed that with the good role of health workers, more respondents were at the mild anxiety level. Context-Mode of delivery is considered to be an important factor in maternal experience. Anxiety symptoms are commonly manifested during pregnancy and in the postpartum period, at times it is affected by the Various mode of deliveries .Objectective- To assess & Compare Anxiety in women following caesarean section and vaginal delivery. Methods- Study was conducted in the of Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, C.S.S. Hospital, attached to the Subharti Medical College, Meerut. Two groups were formed, group A consisted of subjects undergoing elective Cesarean Section and group B consisted of subjects undergoing vaginal delivery. Hamilton’s Anxiety Rating Scale (HAM-A) was administered on the subjects four times. Before delivery, immediately after delivery, 3 days after delivery and one month after delivery. After collecting data appropriate statical tools were used Results & Conclusions- When HAM-A scores were compared between two groups there was no significant difference between the group.

Psychological changes make pregnant women experience anxiety in facing the delivery process, including the conditions that occur during the delivery process. To overcome this anxiety, the benefits of Gentle Birth are needed so that mothers can give birth in peace, free from fear and anxiety. Purpose: This study was to determine the relationship between preparation for gentle birth and the degree of anxiety of first pregnant women in facing labour. Method: the research used was a quantitative approach using a cross-sectional design which was carried out at PMB Mutiara Medan Sunggal in October 2022. Long childbirth or partus can increase mothers' and babies' morbidity and mortality rates. This research aimed to identify the correlation between Knowledge Level and Anxiety Facing Childbirth in Primiparous Mothers at Panembahan Senopati Hospital Bantul. This study was quantitative research with a descriptive-analytic design using the cross-sectional approach. The population in this research consisted of 145 primipara mothers, with purposive sampling of 59 respondents. The data were collected with a questionnaire and analyzed with the Spearman Rank Correlation Test. The respondents' knowledge level belonged to the 'good' category, 96.6%, while the anxiety level among the primipara mothers belonged to the 'moderate' category, 79.7%. The analysis of the correlation between the knowledge level and the anxiety level among Primipara mothers in Panembahan Senopati Hospital Bantul resulted in a p-value = 0.001 with a Rho-Spearman correlation value of-0,415. There was a moderate correlation between knowledge and anxiety levels among primipara mothers in Panembahan Senopati Hospital Bantul. Fears associated with childbirth among nulliparous women in Turkey

Objective: to describe fears associated with childbirth and reasons for the fears. Design: a qualitative study. Data were gathered through semi-structured interviews and analysed using contentanalysis method. Setting: outpatient maternity clinic of a university hospital in Turkey. Participants: 19 nulliparous pregnant women who stated that they had fear related to childbirth. Findings: women's fears were related to labour pain, birth-related problems and procedures, attitudes of health-care personnel and sexuality. The reasons for their fears included type and quality of childbirth information, personal characteristics and experiences, maternity ward environment and lack of confidence in health-care personnel. Seven of the women were considering an elective caesarean section. The role of husbands in the childbirth experience was not mentioned by any participants. Key conclusions and implications for practise: women experience considerable fear related to impending childbirth. Considering the potential for negative findings caused by fear, and the likelihood of requesting a caesarean section, it is important for health professionals who provide antenatal care to explore fears related to childbirth. The development and evaluation of formal childbirth education is also recommended.

CORRELATIONAL STUDY : LABOR COMPANION AND ANXIETY LEVEL ON MATERNAL LABOR PROCESS AT MOTHER AND CHILD HOSPITAL IN BANDUNG, WEST JAVA, INDONESIA

Maternal morbidity and mortality in Indonesia is still high. One cause of maternal morbidity and mortality occurs during the birth process. There is some physical and psychological changes at the time of the labor process. Maternal psychological condition determine the success of the labor process. One element that influences the psychological condition of birth mother is anxiety. High maternal anxiety level is an indication of the emerge of complications at childbirth. Factors that influence the anxiety level of birth mothers is labor companion, it means that birth mother needs lot of support to make her trough the process. This study aimed to investigate colaboral correlation with the levels of maternal anxiety during childbirth. The method used is descriptive research with cross sectional correlation. Sample used 60 mothers giving birth, using the technique accidental samplin. This study used Zung Self Anxiety Scale (Zung-SAS)as the instrument Bivariate data analysis used Chi-square. Contingency coefficient used to determine the relationship of Chi-square analysis.From 60 mothers giving birth, more than half (60%) mothers giving birth is not accompanied by the labor process. More than half of mothers giving birth (51.67%) experienced mild to medium level of anxiety. From the statistical test showed more than half (63.89%) birth mothers who are not accompanied experiencing the level by severe anxiety to panic of and less than half (8.33%) who accompanied the birth mother suffered severe anxiety level to panic. Based on the statistical test showed p value = 0.000 (p<0.05), so it can be interpreted statistically that there is a significant relationship between labor companion with the anxiety level of mothers in childbirth or the null hypothesis (H 0 ) is rejected.

Knowledge and Anxiety Level on Labour Process among Primigravida Mothers in a Selected Hospital, Kamrup (M), Guwahati, Assam: A Descriptive Study

Introduction: Many Indian women are unaware about the changes that occur in their body during pregnancy and labour, as a result many mothers suffer physiologically and psychologically, hence education is needed for mother especially to primigravida mothers. Aims and Objectives: The aim of the study is to assess the level of knowledge and level of anxiety on labour process among primigravida mothers who are attending antenatal OPD at a selected hospital. Methods and materials: A descriptive survey research design was used and purposive sampling technique was used for obtaining sample for the study. Study was undertaken on 100 sample primigravida mothers at Maternity and Child welfare Hospital of Guwahati, Assam. Results: The finding shows that majority i.e. 53% had inadequate knowledge, 44% had moderately adequate knowledge and only three (3%) had adequate knowledge on labour process, majority of the respondents i.e. 58% had moderate anxiety and 42% had severe anxiety. There was association between the knowledge level and selected demographic variables such as age, education, trimester of pregnancy and any prenatal counselling given. Also with anxiety and selected demographic variables such as education, occupation and any types of prenatal counseling attend. There was moderate negative correlation (-0.310) between knowledge and anxiety scores on labour process among primi gravida mothers. Conclusion: This study shows that primigravida mothers had lack of knowledge and moderate anxiety on labour process. Therefore health personnel need to conduct the education programmes to improve the level of understanding as to reduce the level of anxiety on labour process.

Background: Prenatal anxiety is a normal and natural experience. It can affect a person"s feelings, thoughts, behavior, and physical well-being. The majority of maternal deaths are due to hemorrhage, infection, unsafe abortion, and eclampsia which is due to knowledge deficit and anxiety. The objective of this study is to assess the level of prenatal anxiety among pregnant women visiting in ANC OPD at Paropakar Maternity and Women"s Hospital (PMWH). descriptive and inferential statistics. Findings; the finding revealed that mean age of the respondents were 24.68± 2.99 years. 39.5 % respondents were primi gravida. Less than fifty (40.9%) of respondents had minima l anxiety, 42.1% had mild to moderate level anxiety and least (16.9%) of the respondents had severe anxiety. The study showed that there is association between anxiety and gravida (p<0.05) of the respondents. Conclusion: Based on the findings present study revealed that less than fifty percentages of respondents had minimal and mild to moderate level of anxiety and least of the respondent had severe level of anxiety. There was significant association between level of anxiety and gravida of the respondents. Furthermore, it is concluded that prenatal anxiety has relation with the gravid of pregnant women.
