A Survey of Literature on Automated Transport Systems (ATS

This paper presents research conducted on topics relating to Automated Transport System(ATS), findings from researchers on different topics relating to the use of Automated Vehicles (AVs) as proposed would be implemented in various parts of the globe soon are discussed, the advantages and disadvantages, the implication on conventional transport system, environmental factors, Procurement, maintenance and performance costs, legal implication in terms of crashes or accidents and many more are discussed. Key words-Automated Transport System(ATS), Automated Vehicles (AVs),shared automated Vehicle (SAV),vehicular communication(VC). INTRODUCTION Vehicle automation refers to the ability of a vehicle to operate with reduced or without direct human operation. Using a combination of advanced sensors and controls, sophisticated learning algorithms, and Global Positioning System(GPS) and mapping technologies, demonstration vehicles have been able to operate in a wide variety of operating circumstances and over long distances with a human driver present but not operating the vehicle .and Automated-Connected vehicles are able to communicate with other vehicles and infrastructure automatically to improve transportation system.

Comprehensive Study of Intelligent Transportation System and Comparison with Conventional Transportation System

Today, Traffic congestion has been increasing worldwide as a result of insufficient road development, growing number of vehicles, Low speed, increased accident rates, increased fuel consumption etc. It raises the demand for the concept of intelligent transportation system to the conventional transportation system. Intelligent Transportation System includes a wide and growing suite of technologies and applications. Intelligent Transportation Systems deliver superior benefit-cost returns when compared to traditional investments in highway capacity. Intelligent Transportation System maximizes the capacity of infrastructure, reducing the need to build additional highway capacity. ITS have a central role to play in funding countries' transportation systems. Increasing driver and pedestrian safety, Enhancing mobility and convenience, Delivering environmental benefit, Boosting productivity, economic, and employment growth. In this paper patch of highway in Gujarat has been selected and toll collection system i.e. existing conventional transportation facilities is studied and compared with intelligent transportation system.

The intelligent transportation system (ITS) technology of today is contributing to improved transportation system provides solution on traffic problems with the help of new based technologies. it involves planning , design, construction , maintenance and operation of transportation of facilities. Advance technologies in the area of information system, automation and telecommunication have potential of achieving cost saving and productivity improvement as well as enabling new developments in transportation, now a days developments of roads has created a new havoc which leads to increase the accident cases all across the world, in order to overcome from such a problem intelligent transport system holds a good time ITS is design for a road transportation organization. This system consist of hardware component to provide an integrated solution for the driver consol unit, electronic machine passenger information system and vehicle tracking system .IOT is used in this Intelligent transport system which is a very good and alone technique to solve the problems of displace traffic of city .We know that in our city we are liner several problems while using vehicles .Intelligence system can fetch data from vehicle and enter the data to the correct server by the help of s to manage road traffic. : It is so efficient that it has the capability to send the data to the vehicle radar on its own. So that we can reduce accident.

Transportation or transport sector is a legal source to take or carry things from one place to another. With the passage of time, transportation faces many issues like high accidents rate, traffic congestion, traffic & carbon emissions air pollution, etc. In some cases, transportation sector faced alleviating the brutality of crash related injuries in accident. Due to such complexity, researchers integrate virtual technologies with transportation which known as Intelligent Transport System. The idea of virtual technologies integration is a novel in transportation field and it plays a vital part to overcome the issues in global world. This paper tackles the great variety of Intelligent Transport System applications, technologies and its different areas. The objective of this literature review is to integrate and synthesize some areas and applications, technologies discuss with all prospects. Furthermore, this research focuses on a wide field named Intelligent Transport Systems, discussed its wide applications, used technologies and its usage in different areas respectively.

Researches and Applications of Intelligent Transportations Systems in Urban Area: Systematic Literature Review

The purpose of this paper is to systematically review evidence of existing ITS research that could be effective in mitigating current problems in City Logistics. We systematically searched the English and French languages literature indexed in Scopus (2010 to July 2018), including: Elsevier, ACM, Springer, and IEEE. We also added studies identified by experts up to July 2018. The study selection was descriptive and comparative studies and systematic reviews of Intelligent Transportation Systems. Therefore, we independently extracted information on ITS subsystem capabilities & development and technologies used. 56 studies met the inclusion criteria, some were in the research and development stage, while others have seen some measure of application or deployment. Most studies addressed Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS), Advanced Public Transportation Systems (APTS) and Advanced Traveller Information Systems (ATIS).
