Quantum interference by coherence transfer from spin to orbital angular momentum of photons (original) (raw)
The study presents an experimental analysis of the optical spin-orbit coupling facilitated by a q-plate, which enables the entanglement of a photon's polarization with its orbital angular momentum (OAM). This bidirectional interface allows for the coherent transfer of quantum information between polarization and OAM degrees of freedom. The results demonstrate successful transference of two-photon quantum correlations into the OAM, showcasing the potential of OAM as a resource for enhancing quantum information protocols.
