Abstract

The dynamics of diffusion of medical innovations as well as those regulating the development of medical industrialization are topics that we must analyze in this book. At this stage, we should make two remarks. First, we have to notice that the effects of degeneration are hard to distinguish from those of these new long-term diseases. Secondly, we should point out the phenomenon of domino-effect adoption of solutions. Among these kinds of degenerations, those that have to do with sensory organs are the first ones to be affected by the development of technology. Our sight is treated, thanks to a laser slicing our eyes. Deafness is reduced by devices and cochlear implants. As a consequence, the medicine of the future, which will be industrialized, will have to improve our lives both quantitatively and qualitatively.
