The ability of students to answer mathematical reasoning questions and to learn independence is still low. Mathematical reasoning and learning independence are important possessed by students. Therefore, a learning model of a relevant. One of the learning approaches is the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The purpose of the study to find out: Differences in the increase in mathematical reasoning abilities and student learning independence taught by using PBL with students taught with conventional learning in terms of (a) all students, and (b) student level (high, medium, low). This research is an experimental research design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this study was all students of class X of the Delima 1 High School in Pidie. While the sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class (X-2) and the control class (X-3) taken by random sampling. The instrument used to obtain research data is a test of mathematical reasoning ability...

Learning mathematics is still considered difficult by most students, so the impact on learning outcomes. The lack of seriousness and independence of learning, reasoning ability is still low, and not all families have an adequate learning environment and conducive are several factors that may affect learning. Therefore, this study was conducted in order to determine whether or not a positive and significant between the relationship among learning independence, reasoning ability and learning environment at home with students mathematics learning outcomes in class XI TKJ of even semester in SMK Negeri 1 Pleret Bantul Regency at Academic Year 2015/2016. The population of this research was all students of class XI TKJ of even semester in SMK Negeri 1 Pleret Bantul in the academic year 2015/2016 consisting of 2 classes. As a sample class was class XI TKJ B by random sampling technique to the class. The data collection technique was performed by a method of testing and questionnaires. The questionnaire method used collection data learning independence and learning environment at home, as well as the test method used collection data on reasoning ability and mathematics learning the result of the student. Test data analysis requirements using the test for normality, independent, and the test for linearity. Data analysis for hypothesis testing using correlation analysis and linear regression analysis. The research result showed that there was a significant positive correlation between learning independence, reasoning ability and learning environment at home with students mathematics learning outcomes with = 20,5041 > table = 2,96. Multiple correlation coefficient (R 2) of 0,6950 with a regression equation ̂= −19,56 + 0,4163 1 + 0,0999 2 + 0,6608 3 with the relative contribution of (1) = 34,44%, (2) = 8,64%, (3) = 56,91%, with coefficient of determination was (2)0,486 and effective contribution 1 = 23,63%, 2 = 62,55%, dan 3 = 39,62%.

Low student learning outcomes are related to many factors. Learning Independence, Parenting Parents and the Learning Environment in Schools are several factors that are thought to be related to learning outcomes. This study aims to determine whether or not there is a positive and significant relationship between learning independence, parenting parents and the learning environment in schools with mathematics learning outcomes for students of class VIII SMP N 15 Yogyakarta odd semester 2016/2017 academic year. The population in this study were eighth-grade students of SMP N 15 Yogyakarta in the 2016/2017 school year, consisting of classes VIII F, VIII G, VIII H, VIII I, VIII J, with a total of 167 students. Samples were taken from class VIII H as a class of research samples with random sampling techniques to the class .. Data collection techniques using questionnaires to obtain data on learning independence, parenting parents and learning environment at school, as well as test methods to obtain data on mathematics learning outcomes. Research instrument test: validity test, different power test, and reliability test. Analysis prerequisite tests include normality test, linearity test, and independence test. Data analysis uses product moment analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. We present a study in which we consider 1 whether the learners, who had mathematics instruction in the 9 th grade of primary school in heterogeneous groups, significantly differed in their mathematics achievements measured by using the external and internal assessment of knowledge from the learners in homogeneous groups. No statistically significant differences in the average achievements were found in the external assessment. On the contrary, in the internal assessment of knowledge the learners in homogenous groups on average had significantly higher achievements in comparison to the learners in heterogeneous groups. The analysis of covariance performed in homogenous and heterogeneous ability groups showed that the learners, who were placed in the lower or middle third after the initial examination in their school, in the final external examination progressed relatively better in heterogeneous groups. The learners who were placed in the upper third in their school according to their mathematics achievements showed no differences in this regard. The internal assessment of knowledge displayed that the learners who were placed in the middle or upper third in their school after the initial external examination, in the final examination progressed relatively better in

Mathematical literacy skills are one of the essential aspects that students need to master because, through this ability, they can solve problems in everyday life. Providing Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) questions is one of the teachers' efforts to develop students' mathematical literacy skills. This study aims to describe the observed mathematical literacy ability of students learning independence and analyze the difficulties experienced by students in solving PISA problems. The study subjects consisted of 20 students of SMPN 02 Siak Hulu. The research method used is descriptive. The research instrument is PISA test questions oriented to quantity content, learning independence questionnaires, and interview guidelines. The data obtained is analyzed by reducing, presenting, and drawing conclusions. The result of this study is that students doing PISA questions are still experiencing difficulties. This difficulty occurs because students are unfamiliar with PISA model questions. They do not understand the meaning of the problem, do not understand the material in the problem, are confused about determining mathematical concepts, and cannot apply problem-solving strategies.
