Pengaruh Pemberian Ekstrak Etanol Biji Jintan Hitam (Nigella sativa) terhadap Kadar Kolesterol Total Darah pada Mencit Model Hiperkolesterolemia

The factor of cardiovascular diseases is the excessive fat deposit, especialy cholesterol on inner wall of blood capillary. One of plant that usually consumpted and trusted can lowering blood cholesterol is black cumin a.k.a habbatusauda (Nigella sativa). The purpose of this research was to describe the effect of black cumin a.k.a habbatusauda seed extract against total blood cholesterol level. This research method was analytic with experimental design. The subject was 30 male DDY mices, divided into five groups with different treatments, group I (negative control), group II (positive control), group III (doses 0,084gr/day of extract black cumin seed), group IV (0,042gr/day), and group V (0,168gr/day). On day 28 th , mice blood was taken and checked it total blood cholesterol level. Mean result of each group total blood cholesterol then calculated stastisticaly using One Way ANOVA test. In this research three blood measurements were taken the result showed that all of total blood cholesterol"s mice elevated after day 18 th , and reduced after day 28 th. After got the distribution data normal, the statistic test continued to One Way ANOVA test and the result showed that the significant value between each groups was 0.000 (p<0.05). The result showed there was significant difference in doses 0.168gr/day that not found in other dose group. Therefore, it can be concluded that the ethanol extract of black cumin a.k.a habbatusauda (Nigella sativa) seeds has the ability to reduce blood total cholesterol level. This is because at a dose of 0.168gr/day there is more active substances than other doses to reduce total blood cholesterol levels.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a group of metabolic diseases with characteristic of hyperglycemia that occurs due to abnormalities in insulin secretion, insulin action, or both of them. Diabetes and its complications are the main cause of death in the most of countries. Treatment of DM causes a huge financial burden on individuals and families. Citrus leaves contains flavonoid compounds that have a decreased blood glucose activity through the mechanism of lowering oxidative stress, inhibit GLUT 2 intestinal mucosa, and inhibit phosphodiesterase so that maintain insulin production and blood glucose levels decrease. This study aimed to determine the effect of ethanol extract of citrus leaves (Citrus aurantifolia Swingle) on blood glucose in hyperglycemic mice models induced by alloxan. This research was a quantitative experimental with observational methods using completely randomized design. The subjects were 30 male mice with swiss webster strain were divided into 5 groups: normal group, negative control, concentration 1 of ethanol extract of citrus leaves (3.5g/kg), concentration 2 of ethanol extract of citrus leaves (7g/kg) and concentration 3 of ethanol extract of citrus leaves (14g/kg). Fasting Blood Glucose (FBG) measurements was done after the adaptation period, after being given by alloxan, and the last after 10 days treated using glucosemeter. Repeated-Anova and continue with post-hoc test (Bonferroni) was used in this study. The results showed a significant difference between the levels of FBG after induction and FBG after treated in all treatment groups. Optimal concentration of ethanol extract of citrus leaves was on concentration of 14g/kg. Ethanol extract of citrus leaves orally can decrease fasting blood glucose in hyperglycemic mice models induced by alloxan and FBG was decreased was influenced by concentration of the treatment.

Latar Belakang: Hiperkolesterolemia dapat menyebabkan penyakit cerebrovaskuler bahkan kematian. Salah satu pencegahan hiperkolesterolemia adalah dengan pemberian suplemen contohnya menggunakan kulit jeruk purut (Citrus hystrix) yang mengandung saponin, tanin dan flavonoid. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuktikan adanya pengaruh pemberian ekstrak ethanol kulit jeruk purut terhadap kadar kolesterol total pada tikus wistar jantan yang diberi diet tinggi lemak. Metode: Penelitian eksperimental ini menggunakan metode post test only control group design. Pemberian Jus Kombinasi Tomat dan Terong Belanda dan Penurunan Kadar Kolesterol Total Pasien Hiperkolesterolemia

Hiperkolesterolemia merupakan penyakit degeneratif yang mengakibatkan terjadinya Penyakit Jantung Koroner yang dapat menyebabkan kematian akibat dari penyumbatan pembuluh darah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian jus kombinasi tomat dan terong belanda terhadap kadar kolesterol total darah pasien Hiperkolesterolemia di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Nanggalo Kota Padang tahun 2019. Pada penelitian terdapat 16 orang responden yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu 8 responden kelompok perlakuan yang diberikan jus kombinasi tomat dan terong belanda sebanyak 300 ml selama 14 hari, 8 responden kelompok kontrol yang diberikan jus tomat sebanyak 300 ml selama 14 hari Data diperoleh dianalisis dengan uji t beda dua rata-rata dependen dan uji t independen. Hasil analisa dengan uji-t beda dua mean dependen menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang bermakna terhadap pemberian jus kombinasi tomat dan terong belanda dengan rata-rata hasil penurunan 31,25 mg/dl. Diharapkan kepada peneliti yang ingin menggunakan buah tomat dan terong belanda harus memperhatikan rasa dari produk penelitian agar tidak terlau asam sehingga pemberian produk terhadap responden tidak mengalami komplikasi lainnya.

Uji Efektivitas Ekstrak Etanol Daun Kelor (Moringa Oleifera L) Terhadap Penurunan Kadar Kolesterol Darah Pada Mencit (Mus Musculus) Jantan

Test of efficacy studies have been conducted leaf extract (Moringa oleifera L) to decrease blood cholesterol levels in mice (Mus musculus) males. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of moringa leaf extract on reducing cholesterol in mice. In this study using 15 male mice were divided into 5 groups. Before being given treatment, mice were first fasted for 8 hours and then measured cholesterol levels initially. After that induced propylthiouracil every day on each mouse to raise the cholesterol levels of mice for 14 days. Furthermore, given the different treatments in each group for 14 days and total cholesterol levels were measured on day 28th Group I was given NaCMC 1% w / v as a negative control and the obtained yield was 150 mg / dL, 183 mg / dL and 254 mg / dl, group II was given a suspension Simvastatin as a positive control and the results obtained 136 mg / dL, 155 mg / dL, and 164 mg / dL, a group III, IV, and V are given extracts of leaves (Moringa oleifera L) with three variations of the dose 50 mg / g, 100 mg / g, 200 mg / g and the results obtained successively by 127 mg / dL, 135 mg / dL, 152 mg / dL, 170 mg / dL, 176 mg / dL, 188 mg / dL, 156 mg / dL, 137 mg / dL, 175 mg / dL. The results showed that the leaf extract of Moringa can lower total cholesterol levels of mice at a dose of 200 mg / g, but not as effective as simvastatin.

Efek Ekstrak Etanol Kulit Batang Sirsak Terhadap Penurunan Kadar Gula Darah dan Kolesterol

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek ekstrak etanol kulit batang sirsak dalam menurunkan kadar glukosa darah dan kolesterol. Pengekstrakan kulit batang sirsak dilakukan dengan metoda maserasi menggunakan etanol 96%. Selanjutnya ekstrak etanol kulit batang sirsak dibuat dalam bentuk suspensi menggunakan Na CMC 0,5% dan diberikan kepada mencit putih jantan secara oral satu kali sehari selama 7 hari dengan dosis 50, 100, 300, 1000 mg/kg BB. Kadar gula darah dan kolesterol diukur pada hari ke delapan menggunakan alat digital Nesco®Multicheck. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan kadar glukosa darah mencit putih jantan pada kelompok dosis ekstrak 50, 100, 300, 1000 mg/kg BB adalah 123,25, 129,75, 132,25, 121,25 mg/dl. Kadar kolesterol darah rata-rata mencit putih jantan pada kelompok dosis ekstrak 50, 100, 300, 1000 mg/kg BB adalah 156,5, 118,5, 149,75, 156,75 mg/dl.
