Co-Evolution of Friendship and Publishing in Online Blogging Social Networks (original) (raw)
This study examines the dynamics of user behavior in the LiveJournal blogging social network (BSN) by analyzing individual user trajectories at both micro and macro levels. The research identifies the predominant behavior of users, which is passive reading, while also noting that publishing is the main active behavior. Through a detailed analysis of friendship and publishing activities using Markov chains, the study reveals the coexistence of social activities and blogging, as well as a taxonomy of user archetypes within the network.
