On Synaptic Transmission, Neural Signals and Psychophysiological Phenomena (original) (raw)
Information Processing in The Nervous System, 1969
Abstract
This paper is concerned with the “neuronal machinery” which is at the basis of observed psychophysiological phenomena. The “building blocks” are synapses, nerve fibers, and some simple nerve nets, since ultimately all psychophysical observations and, beyond that, all behavior mediated by the nervous system, must be explicable through the operations of these “building blocks.”
