Abstract
This study aims at translating and surveying the short story called “Samanyolu” which was written by the Egyptian writer Salva Bakr. She is one of the feminist writers who writes about the social position of women in Egypt.In this study, some information is also given about how Egyptian women movement followed a different way unlike the women movement in the world and the western world (Europe). The role that Salva Bakr played in Egyptian women movement and in feminist literature is analysed and information about her literary personality is given.
