ABSTRACT: This publication is one of the academic works accomplished by the classmates of Experimental Class 5 at the Affiliated Senior High School of National Taiwan Normal University (HSNU). These old classmates studied together at HSNU from 1952 to 1958, and some have since passed away. To celebrate their past and current friendships, they are publishing their untold stories and poems, disseminating the loving brotherhood that started from a young age to the entire world. This poem, "Back View: Gradually Walking Away, Where to Rest the Shadow?", captures the bittersweet reunion of old friends who reminisce about their shared past. The narrative moves from their joyous reunion and heartfelt conversations to a poignant separation, with one friend walking ahead while the other follows, reflecting on their shared memories. The poem draws parallels between their past, when they studied together, and the present, where one reflects on the past online. The imagery of a flickering candle represents the fading yet persistent memories and emotions. The poem evokes a deep sense of nostalgia and the enduring bond of friendship.
