Untying the Knots: Democracy Decries 163 Conceptual Framework 01: Episode 34 (original) (raw)

Highlights: 1. Our lives have, as if, lost the rhythm due to the complexities of reality, and instability has become the diversity of lives, not uniformity! 2. Bioscope is a film, but it is just a series of still images; in these days, solar power and internet connection can be available not only in the ‘remote villages,’ but also in many isolated islands of the world; thus, today's children do not need to bother watching ‘bioscope;’ maybe no one has time to listen to all these little bioscope histories. 3. We all, including human rights activists, must remember the rights of children (or the rights of little persons) and the child labor and take appropriate measures to mitigate them. 4. For human rights activists, the basic needs and fundamental rights of people can also be part of their working world because authoritarian regimes or authoritarian mindset can violate these rights. 5. Under the International Labor Organization (ILO), people have recognized labor rights related to their workplace; as a good human rights activist, the more you know about the protection of various human rights, the better. 6. Although we are fascinated by the many sophisticated sentences of human rights, anyone will admit that the reality is different. 7. Property rights protect asset holders and investors against expropriation by the state or other groups. 8. Political rights guarantee free and fair electoral contests and allow the winners of such contests to determine policy subject to the constraints established by other rights. 9. Civil rights guarantee equality under the law; for example, citizens may be discriminated against in judicial activities, security, education, health, etc. 10. To see whether people's political rights are being fulfilled, human rights activists can work as election observers at home or abroad and submit reports, which have vast impact value. 11. Many global organizations work to see if human rights are violated while working as journalists. 12. The International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance (ICPPED) is an international human rights instrument that aims to prevent forced disappearance under the United Nations and the convention came into force in 2010; most recently, the government of Bangladesh has also signed the convention. 13. According to the constitution, it is the right of citizens to know whether the ‘due process of law’ is followed in legal activities; many constitutions around the world have an obligation to follow the ‘due process of law.’
