Fractal Analysis of the Susceptibility Weighted Imaging Patterns in Malignant Brain Tumors During Antiangiogenic Treatment: Technical Report on Four Cases Serially Imaged by 7 T Magnetic Resonance During a Period of Four Weeks (original) (raw)

This technical report presents a novel application of fractal analysis to assess susceptibility-weighted imaging (SWI) patterns in patients with malignant brain tumors undergoing antiangiogenic treatment. Through the use of 7 T magnetic resonance imaging over a four-week period, the study evaluates changes in fractal dimension as a biomarker for tumor vascularity and treatment efficacy. The findings across four cases highlight the potential of fractal analysis in enhancing the monitoring of treatment responses in brain tumors.
