Online English Teaching by Using Google Classroom and Its Challenges During COVID-19 Pandemic at Sman 1 Gedeg Mojokerto

This reseach aimed 1) to know the teachers and students carry out online English teaching and learning, 2) to know the challenges of online English teaching and learning, and 3) to know about how the teacher and students solve the challenges during carrying out online English teaching and learning of analytical exposition text during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research used a qualitative approach. The researcher took 2 classes (IPA-1 & IPS-2) as sample. In the data collection technique, researcher used observation, interview, documentation, and questionnaire. The data analysis in this research used flow model data analysis by Miles and Huberman: checking the validity of the data with credibility, transferability, dependability, confirmability. This study aimed to determine how Google Classroom enhanced English language learning in students' English at the Faculty of Literature and Humanities in the online learning system during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was a classroom action research (CAR) conducted from March to July 2020. Classroom action research consists of four stages; planning, actions, observation, and reflection. It is better to fix this section as follows: The stage; teacher planning (preparation and pre-test), action (teaching by using Google Classroom), observation (Classroom observation), and reflection (personal reflection and post-test). The aims of this research is to observe that (1) the use of Google Classroom during Online Learning during the covid-19 pandemic is very useful in English subjects. (2) Especially in the assignments in class, assessment, and providing material in English subjects in SMPN 6 Bekasi of 7th grade. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. to collect the data the researcher used questionnaires, interviews and observations while using the Google Classroom application in the classroom during the application of Online Learning.
