Reactivity under Microwave Irradiation of 2-Amino 4 H -chromene-3-carbonitrile as Tool for the Construction of Potential Bioactive Derivatives

4H-Chromenes (or 4H-benzopyranes) and their derivatives are components of many naturally occurring products, which have also been submitted to structural modifications to increase molecular diversity for potential medicinal properties. In this context and starting from the 2-amino-2H-benzopyran-3-carbonitrile platform, it was possible to built easily (20 min.) a new class of 4-imino-3-phenyl-3,4-dihydro-1H-chromeno[2,3-d]pyrimidine-2(5H)-thiones (55-70%) under microwave irradiation at 120°C in pyridine medium. Treatment of the amino-4H-chromene platform with orthoester gave the corresponding methanimidate intermediate, which is converted into formamidine derivatives (63-85%) from various cyclic secondary amines or into N-3 substituted 4H-benzopyrano[2,3-d]pyrimidine-4(5H)-imines (49-94%) under microwave irradiation (50-120 °C, 30 min.). Air pollution and meteorological models are examples of mathematical models with a lot of natural uncertainties in their input data sets and parameters. Sensitivity analysis is a powerful tool for studying and improving the reliability of such models. In this paper we present the results of a global sensitivity study of the Unified Danish Eulerian Model (UNI-DEM). One of the most important features of UNI-DEM is its advanced chemical scheme the Condensed CBM IV, which considers a large number of chemicals, and various reactions between them, of which the ozone is the most important pollutant because it is used in many practical applications. The stochastic methods based on Faure and Sobol sequences are used for computing the sensitivity measures. The numerical experiments show that the stochastic algorithms for the multidimensional integrals under consideration are efficient methods for computing the small value sensitivity indices.

Preservação de documentos digitais o papel dos formatos de arquivo

A dissertação refere-se a uma pesquisa sobre preservação de documentos digitais com enfoque específico na relação entre formatos de arquivo e a efetiva preservação por longos períodos. O universo de pesquisa limita-se ao poder judiciário brasileiro. A estrutura do trabalho está dividida em basicamente três partes. A primeira delas corresponde a uma introdução ao projeto e uma revisão bibliográfica sobre temas pertinentes à preservação digital. A segunda parte corresponde à conceituação dos elementos teóricos essenciais ao desenvolvimento da pesquisa e inclui o próprio conceito de documento, preservação digital e metadados. A terceira e última parte corresponde à metodologia de coleta de dados, incluindo o universo de coleta correspondente e a análise de dados coletados. Finalmente, a dissertação apresenta uma série de conclusões e observações sobre os formatos de arquivos efetivamente utilizados no poder judiciário brasileiro em seus aspectos qualitativos para preservação digital.

Study of Randomness in AES Ciphertexts Produced by Randomly Generated S-Boxes and S-Boxes with Various Modulus and Additive Constant Polynomials

In Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), the standard S-Box is conventionally generated by using a particular irreducible polynomial {11B} in GF(2 8) as the modulus and a particular additive constant polynomial {63} in GF(2), though it can be generated by many other polynomials. In this paper, it has been shown that it is possible to generate secured AES S-Boxes by using some other selected modulus and additive polynomials and also can be generated randomly, using a PRNG like BBS. A comparative study has been made on the randomness of corresponding AES ciphertexts generated, using these S-Boxes, by the NIST Test Suite coded for this paper. It has been found that besides using the standard one, other moduli and additive constants are also able to generate equally or better random ciphertexts; the same is true for random S-Boxes also. As these new types of S-Boxes are user-defined, hence unknown, they are able to prevent linear and differential cryptanalysis. Moreover, they act as additional key-inputs to AES, thus increasing the keyspace.
