An Efficient Methodology To Develop A Secured E-Learning System Using Cloud Computing Services

ABSTRACT: Now-a-days, each and every action involved in our life becomes computerized in order to reduce the time, complexity and manual power. The education systems are also being computerized, to train the students in a much efficient way. This system is termed as E-Learning. E-Learning is an Internet-based learning process, in which the Internet technology is used to design, implement, manage and extend learning, which will improve the efficiency of learning. Learning, Teaching and Training are intensely connected components, which are all included in the development of E-Learning system. Cloud Computing provides an efficient platform to support the E-Learning systems, as it can be dramatically changes over time .In this paper, an overview on the new emerging E-Learning system , utilization of the SAAS (Software as a Service) and the methodology to test the efficiency of the person in a secured way are described.

Data Security: An issue in cloud computing for e-Learning

E-Learning is an innovative teaching learning process which has taken hype nowadays. Increasing usages of internet for learning process is very productive. As Wikipedia and other web resources are vividly used in teaching. The e-learning S/Ws, websites and portals are very interactive. Using cloud computing for e-learning is another step forward to innovation. As cloud computing provides Infrastructure as a Service(IaaS), Platform as a Service(PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS). Thus, for e-learning ,sites are used as cloud computing e.g. Google App Engine, Yahoo Hadoop ,Webguru and many others. Faculties made their own sites for online tests, online filling forms for training programmes, assignments, tutorials, question banks, presentations, time-tables etc. Instead of having completely own infrastructure , it is rather easy to use Google App Engine, which provides facilities like site creating features, emailing system, calendar, spreadsheets and presentations with accessing u...

Deploying Cloud Computing Technology in E-Learning for Malaysian Polytechnic

Cloud computing (CC) opens up a new paradigm in web-based learning. It promises ubiquitous services, broad network access, a pool of resources, rapid elasticity and its measured service has made this ready-made platform become popular in every field. Nowadays, though this technology has already penetrate into the educational institution, it is still considered at its infancy in the Malaysian Polytechnic (MP) environment. However, e-learning is currently in its optimization phase according to National e-learning Policy, otherwise known as Dasar e-Pembelajaran Negara (DePAN). Reluctance from educators and students in implementing cloud-based e-learning system has become a main concern because of the hindrances brought about by security issues. Security in cloud has been discussed in many previous works and studies. Many solutions have been proposed to strengthen e-learning systems against attacks and threats. Hence, this study aims to reveal the importance of security awareness and knowledge in the e-learning environment. In order to deal with security issues, this paper proposes an architecture which possesses security features in deploying CC which can be implemented by Malaysian educational institutions (especially MP).

CLOUD COMPUTING IN EDUCATION SECTOR WITH SECURITY AND PRIVACY ISSUE: A PROPOSED FRAMEWORK

Cloud computing is vast technology and enhancing day by day. Different author have different point of view for cloud in education. In this paper different proposed architectures for cloud and did comparative analysis to make more secure data over cloud. Every technology have threats so this cloud technology has security threats. In the middle of the paper mapping of Common security framework with cloud computing technology and on that basis authors conduct survey. In the end proposed framework is proposed to make more secure.

Concurrency and Computation: Practice and Experience, 2018

There are lot of research works carried out in the field of Information Technology (IT), which have more impact on the education throughout the world. The main contribution from IT in today's education world is e-learning. There are several institutions implemented the mechanism and several technologies of e-learning in different countries. E-learning provides more flexibility in education. Although there are several organizations and institutions had come up with the e-learning system, the cost of investment involved for the infrastructure setup is much higher for e-learning applications. Cloud Computing is one of the important technology, which provides different services, which plays a vital role in the education domain and e-learning mechanism. In addition, the security factor in sharing the content is also much important nowadays as the content is shared among different countries with multiple source environments. In this paper, cloud-based e-learning is implemented using access control mechanism, which prevents the cloud resources from illegal user access. The key management schemes combined with access control technique is discussed for secure content sharing and to protect the e-learning environment. The traditional e-learning mechanism is compared with the cloud e-learning for the better understanding of the cloud usage and advantages.
