Two-Dimensional Supramolecular Electron Spin Arrays (Adv. Mater. 17/2013) (original) (raw)

In recent years, the assembly and manipulation of spin systems have garnered interest for their potential in spintronic applications. A new approach presented here utilizes spontaneous molecular self-assembly to create two-dimensional supramolecular electron spin arrays on ferromagnetic substrates. These arrays allow for reversible control of the electron spin states via chemical stimuli, demonstrating a practical alternative to traditional atomic repositioning techniques. This work highlights a significant advancement in engineering and manipulating large-scale spin systems.
