E-Learning has become an important means of gaining education/knowledge with the help of electronic media, typically on the Internet. This research paper identifies and analyses the impacts of e-learning on the academic performance of students. It also identifies existing solutions to address the impacts. In addition it proposes an enhanced e-learning model by selecting two best solutions. Finally evaluates the new model. The method of evaluation was based on conducting a survey to around 50 students 3 different universities overseas and here in Australia. The result of the analysis showed that the majority of the students had positive perceptions of the proposed model with regard to its impact on student's academic performance. Furthermore steps were taken to improve the proposed model accordingly by focusing on considering the major factors involved, minimizing the drawbacks.

The study concluded that e-learning is a system that provide time flexibility to the students for their learning and motivates students to do their work without others help. It is also concluded that students feel comfort in browsing and surfing internet.

The Impactful Effect of E-Learning Study Method Towards Students Academic Achievements in General

Engineering, MAthematics and Computer Science (EMACS) Journal

This study aims to analyze the impact of the online learning or e-learning system on students' academic scores in general. This study uses previous research to review the infrastructure and factors of the E-Learning system in influencing students' academic scores. The research method of this research is using SLR (Systematic Literature Review). Research searches will be carried out on databases of journals that are known to the public, such as Springer, ResearchGate, Scopus, and others. Twenty-seven articles have been screened to fit the research criteria, collected, and reviewed. This study concludes that the E-Learning System gets honest feedback and is ignored, but indirectly has an impact on the actors in teaching and learning activities in the world of education. E-learning systems can provide solutions to problems at hand, but also create unfamiliar problems. The main factor in improving student learning experiences is student academic value. The Effectiveness of Using E-Learning in Malaysian Higher Education: A Case Study Universiti Teknologi Malaysia

E-Learning is a fairly recent word used to define a form of learning that can be performed via websites online learning. The impact of contingent factors on the relationship between six predictors and e-learning effectiveness was investigated. The development and implementation of e-learning today has become an important phases in university. This study is centered on evaluating the e-learning effectiveness in UTM. And in this study, the critical factors affecting e-learning effectiveness were investigated through a survey conducted on students as participants. A total of 268 Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) (undergraduate students) students were used in the survey. Several factors have been found to correlate with e-learning effectiveness which includes self-efficacy, interface, community, usefulness, students' satisfaction and intention to use e-learning. The results show that e-learning use positively and significantly related to students' satisfaction, usefulness that is impact intention to use in turn affect e-learning effectiveness.

The Impact of E-Learning on Academic Performance

2018

This study focused on the impact of e-learning on academic performance. This is undertaken to identify whether or not personal-characteristic-related learning style differences influence the extent to which students benefit from e-learning. The and data was collected from 50 respondents selected from third year management students of Eastern University of Sri Lanka (EUSL) using the simple random sampling method. Primary data are collected using self-administered questionnaire. Emphasis was put on trying to establish the relationship between Prior computer skills and Hours spend in online and Socio-demographic Characteristic and academic performance of undergraduate students at Eastern University of Sri Lanka (EUSL). Pearson Correlations and Multiple Regression Analysis are employed to identify whether the two factors have relationship with the academic performance of university students. The findings show that both Prior computer skills and Hours spend in online and Socio-demographi...

The Effect of E-Learning on Students’ Achievement in Universitas Potensi Utama

Journal MELT (Medium for English Language Teaching)

It is believed that internet helps people to do better and faster. It has been used globally in almost every aspects of life. In education, internet is known as the golden key to intelligence, since it offers unlimited resource. It can be learning media in the classroom or while self-learning. Considered as an international language, English is used as main tool of communication on internet. It acts as the language of the instructions and language of the users. It is interesting to analyze its use by students in a developing country like Indonesia. In fact, Indonesia is one of the countries with millions internet users. As a result, e-learning becomes an option to deal with teaching learning process, especially for students of English department. By using internet, they can master certain topics and English themselves better. This study is quantitative research using pre-experimental design. It is aimed to analyze the effect of e-learning on achievement of students in Universitas Potensi Utama. The research result of this study was calculated by using Wilcox on test in which pvalue is 0.462 and p> 0.05 which means the Null hypothesis is accepted. So it is concluded that there is no significant difference between e-learning and traditional learning. However, students have positive perceptions on e-learning because they argue that it can make them highly motivated to learn more about the subject.

The Impact of E-Learning on Academic Performance: Preliminary Examination of King Khalid University

International Journal of Academic Research in Progressive Education and Development, 2018

The study assessed the impact of electronic learning on academic performance in Saudi Arabia. Precisely, we evaluated the influence of web-based learning on academic staff at the King Khalid University utilizing a sample of 163 respondents as our unit of analyses. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was employed to evaluate the impact of the exogenous variables on the endogenous variables. Furthermore, SEM was used to test the hypothesized model. The results indicate that our hypothesized model reasonably fitted the data collected and five of the nine hypotheses were refuted. The study confirmed that acceptance for online teaching (AFOT), Technical competency (TC) and synchronous (SYNC) lectures have indirect influence on performance of academic staff (PERF_ACAD_STAFF). Additionally, acceptance for online teaching (AFOT) and Technical competency (TC) have direct impact on performance of academic staff (PERF_ACAD_STAFF). We concluded that our empirical model presented in figure 3 should guide KKU in designing its E-learning initiatives. This is so because it will enable KKU students to achieve similar learning outcomes that are comparable to traditional classroom format.

Research Journal of Applied Sciences, Engineering and Technology, 2015

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of e-Learning system based on the usage, perception and satisfaction among Postgraduate students in relation to the differences between race, gender, department and level of computer usage experiences. The study was conducted in university, Kuala Lumpur. The questionnaire was distributed to 67 postgraduate students. E-learning is composed of three main factors, the usage, perception and satisfaction of e-Learning between department and access duration. The results of this study showed that most (always) of the student used e-learning to upload lecture notes (28%) and submit assignment (30%). The use of the e-learning system by lecturers might increase student perception that e-learning system has made studying life easier. Postgraduate students from different departments have similar levels of computer usage experience; sources of awareness of e-learning similar number of times accessing e-learning in a week and have similar reasons for using the e-Learning system. There was significance difference of the reasons using e-Learning for group discussions and download lecture notes between department. In conclusion, the usage of e-Learning among postgraduate student was low and mainly to download lecture notes.
