This paper is concerned with the existence of extremal solutions of periodic boundary value problems for second-order impulsive integro-differential equations with integral jump conditions. We introduce a new definition of lower and upper solutions with integral jump conditions and prove some new maximum principles. The method of lower and upper solutions and the monotone iterative technique are used.

We prove some new maximum principles for ordinary integro-differential equations. This allows us to introduce a new definition of lower and upper solutions which leads to the development of the monotone iterative technique for a periodic boundary value problem related to a nonlinear first-order impulsive integro-differential equation.
Maximum principles for periodic impulsive first order problems
Journal of Computational and Applied Mathematics, 1998
We present some comparison results for the periodic boundary value problem for first order ordinary differential equations with impulses at fixed moments. Then, the upper and lower solution method and the monotone iterative scheme are presented. (~)

This paper is devoted to study the existence of multiple positive solutions for the second order periodic boundary value problem with impulse effects. The main results here are the generalization of Jiang [Daqing Jiang, On the existence of positive solutions to second order periodic BVPs, Acta Math. Sci. 18 (1998) 31-35] for ordinary differential equations. Existence is established via the theory of fixed point index in cones.
