Education, apart from encompassing both teaching and learning, encompasses nice social importance, particularly within the fashionable, advanced industrialized societies. The most important social objective of education is to complete the socialization method which guarantees the symmetrical growth of physical, mental and spiritual aspects of individuals. The utilization of technology in education has increased the quality in our education system. This paper estimates the impact of Priceless Laptop Computer Scheme of Government of Tamil Nadu to the students of government and aided schools and its role in the socio-economic development of undergraduate students. The analysis reveals that the welfare scheme facilitates access to top-quality studies and it causes socio-economic development among vulnerable, deprived youth, principally from a rural background, increasing with the timely access to academic requirement, to higher levels of study, and studies abroad. The welfare scheme’s c...
Predicting the performance (usefulness) of any welfare scheme will be more useful for the government to make decision whether to continue or to drop out the schemes in the future. To attain this objective, the concept of agents and data mining can be used. Data mining techniques are used to discover models or patterns of data and are much helpful in the process of decision making. Intelligent agents represent an important opportunity to optimize knowledge management. The data used for this study is collected, evaluated and analyzed by means of agent paradigm along with the clustering techniques of data mining technology.

Mastery of Science and Technology is one of the components to be achieved national education. Badung district government gives free laptop as much as 8,636 laptops for the students of elementary school. This free laptop distribution is borrowing to students to prepare human resources that not only the function as recipients of information flow but also equip themselves with information and technology management capabilities in order to be able to manage, adjust and develop what they receive through the development of these technologies. Looking at the conditions of technology mastery (laptop) as the access of information is not enough controlled by the teacher as an educator and employee as an educational staff but also learners (students).
Perception of Students on Tablet and Laptop Distribution Scheme of U.P. Government
ECPS - Educational, Cultural and Psychological Studies, 2017
If the 18th century is characterized as the age of reason, the 19th as one of industry and the 20th as revolution then the 21th century could well be known as the age of ICT. This is the time when more youth everywhere are involved in acquiring new knowledge and skills continuously throughout their lives and from virtually every context of daily life. This study aims at studying the effectiveness of a program of the government through students' perception. The scheme aimed at providing free tablet and laptops to the high school and senior secondary government school graduates. The sample consisted of 200 secondary and senior secondary boys and girls. The overall results revealed that there is favourable perception of students towards tablet and laptop distribution scheme of U.P. Government. Students' perception on the bases of level of schooling (level 1-class 10th and level 2-class 12th), gender and locale was also examined in the present study.
Consumer Buying Behaviour of Electronic Goods for Education
Day by day with growing needs and importance, the buying behavior of consumer is changing rapidly. In the overall population, in this study, we divided the consumer groups in to three categories based on significant growth in recent years. The categories are upper class, middle class and below middle class based on their financial status. Consumer attitude also studied based on need, information search, and evolution of alternatives, purchase decision and purchase behavior. Improvements in educational attainments have invariably been accompanied by improvement in health and longevity of the population and in their economic well-being. Educated people are likely to be more productive and hence better off. They are also likely to contribute more to a country's economic growth. At the same time, education reinforces the socioeconomic dynamics of a society towards equality in attainments and opportunities for its people. Though, the returns to education may vary across individuals, regions, level and nature of education, in general, they are significantly higher for poor developing areas than for the rich. Education is therefore, the best social investment, given the synergies and the positive externalities that it generates for people in their well-being. It is also a priority for countries seeking to develop and sustain their level and pace of development.
Analysis of Technology Addiction of High School and University Students Using Data Mining Techniques
2016
The rapid evolution of technological devices also makes it increasingly challenging to determine which is the most needed. These devices have become addictive, especially for the young generation. In this study, we have made a survey was composed of 31 questions over total of 240 high school and university students to find out which criterions are related with each other in this survey. We have analyzed survey results using Apriori Algorithm that is one of the data mining techniques to ensure extracting some association rules. In the future, to increase social communication between individuals, based on these rules, a lesson about preventing technology addiction may be prepared than given to the students in high schools and universities to raise awareness.
Analysis of Laptop Users Purchase Behaviour: A Case of Kathmandu, Nepal
International Journal of Management, Technology, and Social Sciences (IJMTS), 2021
Purpose: The laptop market is highly competitive in Nepal. Kathmandu being the capital city with a high number of laptop users, several brands of laptops are available. The paper aims to find out the dependency between brand and gender, age, marital status, occupation, education, income, and other external factors using inferential statics. Design/Methodology/Approach: The study is based on a questionnaire survey from 120 users from a different class. Chi-square and one-way ANOVA analysis tests are performed to test for a relationship between the importance of several independent factors and respondents’ gender, age, occupation, income, and education level. Findings/Result: Significant influence of age was not on brand preference for laptops in less than of 10% significance. Brand preference of laptop is significantly dependent on monthly income. Educational qualification, Brand image, Features, Configuration, Audio quality, Video quality, Price, Convenience of service, Scheme and offers, Advertisement, Family, and Friend influence are not significant for brand preference of laptops. The hypothesis testing showed that brand preference has a significant relationship only with occupation, age, and monthly income. Originality/Value: It is a significant research for buyers and sellers of laptops in Nepal using the inferential model. Paper Type: Analytical Marketing Research.

Data mining and its applications in the education sector
International journal of applied research, 2018
The growing volumes of data continue to outpace human capabilities to extract and discover valuable information capable of supporting sound decision-making and plausible prediction in any business or industry this can only be addressed using automated methods such as data mining. Data Mining Technology (DMT) is a robust technology that can help organizations to make optimal informed decisions-instead of guesswork decisions [1] , in addressing contemporary challenges facing higher education. Although data mining technology is progressing, its use leaves much to be desired. its adoption and implementation is expensive and any failure in implementation causes not only financial loss but also dissatisfaction among users, which makes it imperative to study the acceptance and adoption of this technology by its potential users. previous studies about data mining have always focused either on the technical aspect or the development of DMT application algorithms without considering users' perception of the technology [2]. Little effort has been used to encourage users to appreciate DMT's capabilities and let's DMT obtain the users' acknowledgement; as this could help minimizing underutilization or eventual abandonment despite the prevalent benefit. This study aims to promote and encourage the use of data mining technologies by its potential users within higher education context: This paper aims to contribute to the conceptual and theoretical understanding of Data mining within higher education. It introduces the notion of Data mining and outlines its relevance to higher education. From a perspective of e-learning practitioners and data mining practitioners To achieve these goals, this study aims to design a web portal that targets two types of potential users, e-learning practitioners and data mining practitioners and that can serve as a one-stop knowledge base. That allows to explore the different participants in the education system and how each of these players can benefit from the data mining system in a virtuous cycle. And allows data mining practitioners to thoroughly understand the data mining philosophy and apprehended the practice of its process by focusing on data preparation and three key areas in the modeling process; criteria to consider in order to optimize the chances of extracting useful information and to make the right choice of data mining algorithms, Model construction and model evaluation.
