The study of the findings and ladings of shipwreck at underwater archaeological site in the Sea of Java, Cirebon is the early potential to create an underwater archaeological museum in Indonesia. The museum aims to utilize material culture which is developed and presented in long term themes at the museum. Museum has strategic role as an education, communication and publication space from various knowledge. This is a comparison study between the material culture of Nan Han Cargo shipwreck site and various concepts of underwater archaeological museum applied some countries, one of them is Southeast Asia Experiental Maritime Museum in Singapore. Result of the study, through the comparison study, obtains the design and program for the museum theme to be applied at the underwater archaological museum in New Museology perspective.
