Enhanced LEACH Protocol based Energy Efficient Routing in Wireless Sensor Network
The nodes of the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) have a limited battery power and unchangeable because it is normally deployed in geographical areas where the human interventions are limited. The applications of WSN requires a continuous connection between the nodes and BS should be maintain to transmit the data even when there is no data to transmitted. Therefore, the energy efficient protocols are the primary need of WSN. Many algorithms were developed and this paper presents a novel protocol " Enhanced LEACH " to improve energy efficiency, lifetime and scalability of the network. This proposed scheme introduces some parameters in CH election like distance between nodes, residual energy of nodes and so on. The parameters are combined with LEACH threshold probability function to elect the best CH. The elected CH follows a data transmission power levels in order to extend the lifetime of the network. Enhanced LEACH is compared with LEACH using the metrics such as throughput, lifetime, low amount of energy as well. The simulation results show the proposed scheme consumes less energy, low cost, less collision, less transmission time and increase network lifetime when compared to LEACH.

Wireless sensor network is a wireless network of sensor node and become one of the most interesting area of research. Routing technique is one of the most challenging issue in wireless sensor network .In Wireless sensor network routing among various routing technique energy consumption is one of the most important criteria. LEACH protocol which is one of the energy efficient clustering protocol. This paper presents a new version of LEACH protocol called A-LEACH which aims to reduce energy consumption within the wireless network. Comparison of various network parameters is done in the form of graphs. The simulation work has been carried out by using own set of parameters and in the last of the paper conclusions is drawn. The simulation tool we used for the purpose is MATLAB
A Novel Improvement in LEACH Protocol for Decreasing Energy Loss in Wireless Sensor Networks
Port-Said Engineering Research Journal, 2021
One of the most important Internet of Things technologies is the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), and it has recently gained a lot of interest because of its applications in monitoring, army, health, automation, agricultural, environment, and underwater. Two of the most important requirements for observing and detecting wireless topics within WSN are clarity of information disseminated and energy efficient. As a result, several forms of study are carried out. Many routing protocols that are based on topology with a hierarchical and clustering structure have been created to give a better result for deducing the network's energy exhaustion in WSN. However, these protocols do not consider all the necessary and important parameters for extending network life. In this suggested paper, we introduce two new methods to boost the WSN which raises energy-efficient and network lifetime. The simulated results of the proposed approaches are then compared to the prime LEACH Protocol with fixing...

The topic of discussion and research is wireless sensor network and it just because it is an always application based. The research on wireless sensor networks has recently received much attention by offering an advantage of monitoring different kinds of environments by sensing their physical phenomenon. There are some important parameters are like prolonged network lifetime, scalability, and load balancing for many sensor network applications. Clustering in sensor nodes is an effective technique for achieving efficiency in these parameters. In this work, a prototype energy efficient LEACH algorithm has been written on the basis of energy impact factor for wireless sensor network applications. Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy is one of popular cluster-based structures, which has been widely used in wireless sensor networks. To maintain balanced energy consumption LEACH uses TDMA. The prototyped protocol adds feature to LEACH to reduce the consumption of the network resource in each round.
Energy Efficient LEACH protocol for Wireless Sensor Network (I-LEACH)
IJSRD, 2013
In the wireless sensor networks (WSNs), the sensor nodes (called motes) are usually scattered in a sensor field an area in which the sensor nodes are deployed. These motes are small in size and have limited processing power, memory and battery life. In WSNs, conservation of energy, which is directly related to network life time, is considered relatively more important souse of energy efficient routing algorithms is one of the ways to reduce the energy conservation. In general, routing algorithms in WSNs can be divided into flat, hierarchical and location based routing. There are two reasons behind the hierarchical routing Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) protocol be in explored. One, the sensor networks are dense and a lot of redundancy is involved in communication. Second, in order to increase the scalability of the sensor network keeping in mind the security aspects of communication. Cluster based routing holds great promise for many to one and one to many communication paradigms that are pre valentines or networks.
Improvement on LEACH Protocol of Wireless Sensor Network
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013
Wireless sensor networks comprise of minor battery driven devices with restricted energy resources.Once installed, the minor sensor nodes are usually unapproachable to the operator, and thus auxiliary of the energy source is not practicable.Hence, energy proficiency is a vital design issue that needs to be boosted in order to increase the lifetime of the network. LEACH is a popular hierarchical routing protocol which efficiently maintains the energy storage of nodes in Wireless Sensor Network (WSN).The nodes using LEACH are divided into clusters. The advantage of LEACH is that each node has the equal probability to be a cluster head, which makes the energy dissipation of each node be relatively balanced. This paper studies LEACH protocol, and focuses on how to decide the next hop nodes more reasonable when the data are transmitted at the steady state. Simulation has been done in NS2 and the results show that the algorithm after improved is more energy-efficient than LEACH protocol.
