Intact emotion-induced recognition bias in neuropsychological patients with executive control deficits (original) (raw)

Emotional arousal affects long-term memory encoding and consolidation. While mechanisms for fostering emotional memories during retrieval remain less understood, this study investigates recognition bias in neuropsychological patients with executive control deficits and healthy participants. Findings suggest that emotion-induced recognition bias persists even in individuals with notable executive dysfunction, with implications for understanding memory processing and emotional involvement in recognition tasks.
