Analysis of anatomical and micromorphological characteristics of Iva xanthifolia nutt (original) (raw)

This study examines the anatomical and micromorphological characteristics of Iva xanthifolia, an adventive species in North Serbia. Through detailed analysis of its vegetative and reproductive organs, including lamina, petiole, stem, and inflorescence axis, findings reveal that the species has mesomorphic structures with xeromorphic adaptations. A significant presence of mechanical tissues contributes to its resilience against environmental factors, while specific trichome distributions suggest potential areas for further biochemical investigation, particularly regarding their ecological roles.
