Abstract

ABSTRACT We study the low-energy conductivity dynamics after femtosecond perturbation of the stripe-ordered phase in a strongly-correlated nickelate. The experiments reveal ultrafast suppression and recovery of electron-phonon coupling that tracks the atomic-scale localization of correlated charges.
