This paper explores the calibration of a compact polarimetric synthetic aperture radar (SAR) system and the methods for estimating forest height using compact polarimetric InSAR data. A new approach, utilizing the Tabb algorithm for defining regression lines within the PolInSAR coherence region, is presented and compared to traditional RVoG methods applied to full-polarimetric data. Results indicate that the proposed method shows strong agreement with full-polarimetric data inversions, while addressing the limitations of existing models.
