Abstract

The adsorption isotherms for naphthalene, phenanthrene, hexachlorobenzene, and pentachlorophenol on soil were determined in the presence of liquid and supercritical carbon dioxide. The adsorption isotherms for naphthalene, phenanthrene, and hexachlorobenzene are linear, whereas for pentachlorophenol, a slight deviation from linearity was observed.
