utilização da programação linear na determinação de uma estratégia ótima de reforma de um talhão florestal (original) (raw)
This paper aims to show the potential of the linear programming in situations where different alternatives challenge the decision making. The linear programming is used in an specific case, where the objective is to choose the optimum strategy to reform an Eucalyptus stand. The reform techniques available are: 'grade bedding', 'arado reformador' and manual reform. Two linear programming models were developed, one that minimizes the costs and another that maximizes the future yields of the forest the solutions for each model showed coherence, and perfect adequation of the methodology to the problem studied. The two models pointed out distinct solutions. Considering all assumptions, we were able to conclude that the best strategy is that obtained from the forest future yield maximization model.
