A STUDY OF CONSUMER PERCEPTONS TOWARDS 3G SERVICES IN JALANDHAR
In India, there is cut throat competition among the telecom operators. Every company is trying to seize the maximum market share. Telecom Companies have launched 3G services which is faster than the 2G services. The main objective of the study is to know the consumer perception towards 3G services and to know the factors affecting customers to opt for the 3G operators. The Study has also tried to know the dominant player in telecom sector in Jalandhar City. The study focuses on the identification of the critical factors that influence the consumer purchase decision. Data is collected through convenient sampling technique and proper mix of nominal, interval, ratio and five point Likert scale is used in questionnaire to collect the data. Sample size of 200 respondents has been taken from Jalandhar City. First of all, meaning of 3G services is explicated then dominant player in telecom sector in Jalandhar City is ascertained through descriptive analysis. At last factor analysis is used to bring out the factors which customers feel are the determinants of their purchase decision. The factors include Brand Name & Comfort of Use, Speed & Offers, Value of the Service and Advertising. Factor analysis is used to determine the critical order of significance on 10 weighted factors. So the efforts of Telecom Operators should be focused on four identified factors.
Subscribers’ intention towards using 3G mobile services

3G mobile network offers higher data rates than the previous generation networks (1G and 2G). The purpose of this study is to examine the factors influencing subscribers’ intention towards using 3G mobile services with the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as the guiding principle. Cross sectional data were collected through a survey and analyzed by means of factor analysis, correlation and regression analysis. Out of 150 questionnaires, only 100 were usable. Findings show that Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use and Attitude are jointly responsible in determining the subscribers’ intention to use of 3G mobile services. Perceived Usefulness was found as a key factor influences subscribers’ intention to use 3G mobile services. In addition, implications and direction for future research are discussed.

AN EMPIRICAL ANALYSIS OF SUBSCRIBERS INTENTION TOWARDS 3G MOBILES IN COIMBATORE CITY OF TAMILNADU
Indian mobile market is one of the fastest growing markets and is forecasted to reach 868.47 million users by 2013. India has seen rapid increase in the number of players which caused the tariff rates to hit an all time low. This allowed the players to target the low income population thereby increasing the market share. This study focuses on the awareness about 3G technology and usage of 3G mobiles in Coimbatore. 3G mobile network offers higher data rates than the previous generation networks (1G and 2G). The purpose of this study is to examine the subscribers’ intention towards using 3G mobile services in Coimbatore. Hundred 3G mobile users and non users’ data were collected through a survey and analyzed by means of percentage analysis, Garrett ranking and discriminant analysis. Findings show that most of the respondents aware about the 3G technology mobiles and most of them satisfied with the 3G mobile service

This study investigates the impact of factors (network coverage, customer service, video calls, and downloading Speed) of 3G and 4G telecommunication services performance on customer satisfaction in the Punjab region of Pakistan. 19. Factors Affecting 3G Adoption: An Empirical Study

3G opens up doors for high-speed transfer of both voice and data. However, the actual adoption rate of 3G has remained below expectations. Thus, it is important to understand the interplay of actors involved in the adoption process of this technology. Prior research suggests that external variables like convenience, self efficacy, service quality and variety of service, perceived value and price are significant factors in the adoption of a technology. In this study, we examine the impact of these factors on user adoption of 3G. The study found that 1) price, convenience and service quality are all significant predictors of perceived value 2) the relationship between variety of service and perceived value is mediated by convenience and 3) perceived value has a strong relationship with purchase intention. The study adds to the adoption literature and lends support to Zeithaml (1988)'s value dimensions. Consideration of the factors identified should lead to more successful adoption of 3G.
Factors Affecting Customer Satisfaction in 3G Service
3G is the source of high-speed transfer of both voice and data. Thus with the customer satisfaction label it is important to understand the interplay of factors involved in the affect on customer satisfaction in Bangladeshi mobile phone service companies. Therefore this study examined the relationship between perceived value, perceived quality, customer expectation and corporate image with customer satisfaction. The results obtained from 360 students of university selected by convenient sampling method were analyzed with SPSS software program. The study found that perceived value, perceived quality; customer expectation and corporate image have a significant positive influence on customer satisfaction.
Key Success Factors of 3rd Generation Mobile Network Services for M-Commerce in Malaysia

While there has been a great deal of excitement in view of m-commerce, very little is actually known about conditions and critical success factors for successful introduction of the 3 rd generation mobile network services here in Malaysia. This study investigates the factors for successful diffusion of 3G network services and their role in advancing an interactive marketplace. 3G which simply means 3 rd generation mobile communications technology has been widely discussed by many telecommunications service providers. It was launched by International Telecommunication Union (ITU) some 13 years ago.3G is viewed as an enabler of M-Commerce here in Malaysia. However, true success of this technology depends on various factors. The objective of this study is to investigate significant key enablers of 3G deployment and adoption in Malaysia. An insight into critical factors to be considered for the deployment of 3G technology in Malaysia and experiences of other countries will be used as a benchmark to understand the mitigating factors of 3G deployment. Critical factors such as cost to of service, interoperability of standards, insufficiency of mobile services or content and deficiency of the laws will be discussed in this study. The study also discusses diffusion barriers and drivers for rapid service diffusion of 3G mobile networks.
Third generation (3G) mobile service acceptance: Evidence from Malaysia

This paper aims to examine the factors affecting subscribers' intention towards using third generation (3G) mobile service. Cross sectional data were collected from 100 respondents through a survey. Data were then analyzed by means of multiple regression analysis. The findings verified the research hypotheses, and confirmed that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and attitude are jointly responsible in determining the subscribers' intention to use 3G mobile service. Perceived usefulness was found as a key factor that influences subscribers' intention to use 3G mobile services. This study was conducted only in Malaysia and does not cover other countries. The findings are only applicable in Malaysia and cannot be generalized for the other countries. Consideration of the factors identified should lead to more successful adoption of 3G. The study implies that the 3G mobile telecommunication companies need to lift consumers' intention to adopt 3G mobile services. Users' of 3G mobile services need to be provided with more diverse and entertaining ways of communicating, which are at the same time easily accessible and convenient to use. This paper enhances understanding of user acceptance of 3G mobile communication services.
