This paper describes factors underlying Islamic translation model ITM whereby Al-Quran, Al-Ssunnah, Al-Ijmak and Al-Ijtihad Are the moderators. ITM uses favorable Islamic Translation process upon which it produces Islamic Translation product. ITM focuses on the protection of Islamic rights as well as avoiding any suspected anti Islamic harm inherent in translation activities and products which may interfere with Islamic key security index including religion; blood/ life; properties; family relations/ social values; and people’s respect/ dignities. ITM in introduced in this paper will assist in training and guiding translators who are assumed to have problem with Islamic translation that might result into inadequacy in their Islamic Translation performance. ITM factor analyses dealt with in this paper stand as theoretical guide for Islamic translators; It can always lead to: favorable Islamic Translation process and product; It clarifies definitions of what should be considered ITM . The development of this model is an attempt to illustrate the complexity of factors underlying in Islamic translation by the use of Islamic provisions. This model is also intended to reveals hypothetical relationships and interactions underlying various Islamic translation variables; shifting from mere translation points of view to Islamic translation points of observation. Among factors underlying Islamic translation are: Translator’s characteristics, SL Text Initiator, SL text characteristics, translation process characteristics, and linguistic characteristics. This paper results into clear definition of Islamic translation characteristics, variables, procedures and products with specific focus on ITM purpose and function; flexible necessity for ITM users to have Islamic knowledge related to translated subject-field; level of SL material and language rigidity; revision of seriously deviated factors for Islamic adaptation possibilities; dealing with dramatic materials, non Islamic materials and multiple levels of ITM translation.
