International Journal of Engineering & Technology
Wireless Sensors network is a type of wireless network, used in diverse applications and has its own set of challenges. Apart from organizing and managing WSN, the main challenges include limited resources, dynamic topology and low scalability. Wireless Sensor nodes are battery operated, so energy scarceness is a major concern. The energy consumption is maximal at the time of data transmission between network devices or nodes. Various energy conservation schemes are applied in WSN; Energy Efficient Routing is one of the possible solutions. Energy Efficient Routing is used to minimize the maintenance cost of the network and maximize the performance of the node. In this paper different hierarchical cluster based routing protocols are discussed.

A REVIEW ON ENERGY EFFICIENT CLUSTERING ROUTING PROTOCOL IN WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORK
Wireless Sensor Network depends on nodes have limited energy, memory, computational power, range and it is important to increase energy efficiency by saving the battery power so as to extend the life time of the given WSN deployment. In WSN, data is measured by nodes and same is send to Base Station at regular interval. Different protocols are used for energy consumption, in wireless sensor network. In this paper for energy consumption in wireless sensor network we study about LEACH protocol, EEUC protocol and zone-divided and energy-balanced clustering routing protocol (ZECR) which divides the area into several zones according to the distance and uses the clustering method among these zones. The key idea of these protocols is that within a cluster there is a -cluster-head‖ which receive the data from remaining nodes and such data is sent to base station.

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is infrastructure less. Sensors usually rely on their battery for power, which cannot be recharge or replaced. So in this paper, comparisons of energy performance on different position of base station are analyzed and also analyzed LEACH and it's up gradation. A Cluster-based Routing Algorithm for WSN based on Residual Energy of the Nodes
International Journal of Computer Applications, 2013
Wireless sensor networks can be said as the latest development or improvement in the field of wireless communication. However the advantages of the WSN become limited due to the limited resources, especially low-capacity battery of the sensor nodes. Thus, energy aware routing is an important issue for prolonging the lifetime of the WSN. Among all the basic routing protocols based on the network structure, clustering algorithms have been the much researched upon because of their scalable and energy efficient nature. In this paper, a clustering routing algorithm has been proposed to increase the sensor network lifetime by choosing the cluster heads based on their residual energy and the distance between the cluster members and corresponding cluster heads.
A Cluster Based Routing Algorithm Minimizing Energy Consumption in WSN
International Journal of Wireless & Mobile Networks
Wireless sensor networks are continually being developed and constitute a new emerging technology that extends to many applications, they represent a very interesting field in the Internet of objects (IoT) and in information and communication technologies based on the manipulation of information through sensor nodes with limited characteristics (low storage capacity, autonomous source of energy, limited power), however, sensor nodes face the problem of energy constraints in terms of limited battery lifetime that has become the major issue in these networks and which represents a challenge to their design and management In these networks generally called WSN, Clustering routing represents a critical task to ensure energy efficiency and to overcome the constraints of congestion, collision and packet loss through several techniques of cluster formation and CH elections that have been proposed in literature. In this paper, we survey the principal clustering routing protocols in the literature, we describe their main characteristics and features, we propose a new cluster-based algorithm and we present its efficiency when comparing to some existing energy efficient clustering routing protocols using different simulation parameters.

2015
In Wireless sensor networks, several routing protocols have been developed to improve the various parameters such as stability period, throughput etc. After a homogenous protocol leach, many heterogeneous protocol were developed which successfully improved the routing in WSNs.In this Paper we studied one of the heterogeneous protocol DEEC and its improved version EDEEC and we tried to work on two parameters i.e. Stability period and throughput of the network to improve these further. In this Paper we introduced a new node i.e. super advanced node with the existing heterogeneous nodes in the EDEEC which successfully improved its stability period and we also incorporated a reactive protocol i.e. TEEN in our paper to make our network communication more efficient. Thus we used the best of EDEEC and TEEN and made TADEEC protocol. This has been simulated in Matlab and results have outperformed the LEACH, DEEC, EDEEC etc.

In recent years, the applications of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have been increased tremendously. In WSNs mechanis m used to enlarge the lifespan of network and provide more efficient functioning procedures that is clustering. Clustering is a procedure to subdivide the sensing field of sensor network into number of clusters. Each cluster selects a leader or hear called cluster head. A cluster head might be elected by the sensor node withinthe cluster or may be pre-assigned by the network administrator. Optimized Clustering can save lot of energy in the network.
