Abstract

ABSTRACT Different EMI inversion procedures were evaluated.•A 1D-laterally constrained and a non-constrained, robust 1D-inversion procedure were compared.•LIN approximations were compared with the full solution of the Maxwell's equations.•2D inversions of the EMI and ERT data were matched.•A robust calibration proved essential to attribute absolute values to the inversion results.
