Springer is launching a new book series entitled Philosophical and Historical Perspectives on the Social Sciences Editors-in Chief: Jesús Zamora Bonilla (Madrid) and Byron Kaldis (Athens). The series aims to publish cutting-edge monographs and edited volumes of outstanding quality on topics falling under its title: both philosophical and historical studies on foundational issues regarding concepts, problems, theories methods of, and recent developments in, any of the social sciences (sociology, economics, political science, anthropology, history, archaeology, policy studies, etc.) and their subdivisions and relations to other disciplines. The series aims at bringing together philosophers and social scientists in a fruitful dialogue. Particular emphasis is placed on both the historical and the philosophical points of view, as well as on interdisciplinary relationships with other areas such as the natural sciences, technology, culture or politics. Philosophical and Historical Perspectives on the Social Sciences will include monographs, edited volumes, and also symposium proceedings or similar works. Publication proposals can be sent by email to the Editors-in-Chief (jpzb@fsof.uned.es and bkald@eap.gr), including at least: • proposed title • author(s)/editor(s) and contributors • prospective list of contents • expected time of completion of the book • abstract up to 2000 words
