Automation Of Information Help Desk System.pdf

Automation of Online help desk information system has made the enquiries or making a suggestion of general public more easy. This type of retrievals significantly varies in different factors like immediate retrieval and attention of officials and users with one or more public sector entities. Automated help desk systems should retrieve exactly the information required to assist a user as quickly and as easily as possible either for a user who knows little about the system or for an advanced user who requires more specific information. It should be easily maintainable as knowledge in domains changes very rapidly. The main aim was to develop a helpdesk information retrieval process for every user in such a way it should user friendly. Using this automated online help desk system must fulfill every requirement of particular organization. The prototype developed for use over the WWW combines keyword search and case based reasoning to provide both rapid focusing on a part of the help information and guided interaction when the user is unclear about appropriate keywords. The maintenance distributed environment should be created for further issues.

Application of E-Business in E-Information Applications as Information Givers Media

IJCSIS Vol 17 No.8 August Issue, 2019

Referring to the Universitas Mercu Buana Information System RIP, and the research location was carried out in a governmental sector that provided services to the community, based on monitoring and information obtained from officers regarding information given to the community sometimes different from one officer to another. others, so that people are confused about which information must be held. Based on the events and needs in the field regarding the need for information that you want to have and convey to the community, which is currently done or given verbally (in writing or verbally), and is considered less effective especially when the officers are busy serving and also not provided by special officers to only serve questions from people who need information. Based on this, a container is needed that can provide the same information or standards agreed upon by the agency. In this study we will make an application that can bring up the information needed by the public regarding the procedures and requirements of the services they need, of course the information that is raised is information that really exists in the community service unit. We make this application web-based and the application will be placed in a local host inside the computer with the help of a touch screen monitor that we believe will be easy to use and keep up with the latest technological developments. Plan information that will be raised, such as procedures and requirements for managing eKTP, Family Card, Death Letter, and others. As for the scope of the problem are as follows: 1. Research is focused on providing solutions so that people who need information quickly can be accommodated, 2. Research is focused on making applications that will be used to provide needed information. The main problems that will be examined in this study are: 1. Submitting information that is less effective, 2. There is no special officer who handles the questions of the people who need the information, 3. There is no container or tool that can provide the information needed. Based on the formulation of the problem, the objectives of this study are: Creating an application that can process data and produce information output needed by the community, applications that will be made web-based, and the application is made using the PHP programming language, with MySQL databases and also the application will be placed on a local host in a computer, to access it used touch screen monitor. The benefits of this study are expected: 1. Can provide the right information for people in need, 2. Can be used as a reference to display information needed by the community, 3. Can also be used by agencies that have the same problem.

Advanced Information Technology in Office Environments

As indicated by its subtitle, this report provides a contemporary introduction into the field of office automation. The adjective “contemporary” indicates that the topics in this introduction focus on modern, integrated computer support for office tasks, as opposed to older work focusing on more isolated support for specific tasks. Also, this introduction covers recent developments like multi-media information systems and workflow management systems.

Research on information interaction and intelligent information provision mechanisms

Journal of information science, 1986

Information systems comprise a user, who recognizes that his/her problem is inadequate for attaining some goal, a knowledge resource, which may offer useful information, and some intermediary access mechanism to the knowledge resource. The last two components constitute the information provision mechanism (IPM). The information system we are particularly concerned with is that of document retrieval where the knowledge resource is typically a set of online bibliographic databases and the intermediary is, at present, a human search analyst. For a variety of reasons—social, technological and eco-nomic—, it has become important to consider what aspects of the IPM can be performed, in an intelligent way, by computer programs. This paper reviews the methods and results of a six-year ongoing series of research projects concerned with this issue, and especially the question of how to design an intelligent automated system interface. The specifications for this interface have been derived from a study of real life human user-human intermediary information interactions. A variety of methods has been employed, particularly functional discourse analysis, and results are: the specification for a distributed expert system architecture; identification and specification of the necessary functions; and proposals for a problemstructure driven human-computer dialogue.

The Demanding Society. What are the role and hence needs of integrated information solutions?

2008

The development of electronic information systems and tools will create a demand for new services as well as opportunities for new business areas in the future society. This society, including all the inhabitants, the industries, the service branch and the trade and market organisations, will find it evident to make use of the digital information and related functions in a large number of applications. We have already seen examples of this happen.

Exploring the Usage of Information Technology for Library AutomationExploring the Usage of Information Techn

Exploring the Usage of Information Technology for Library Automation, 2019

The basic objective of this research study is to provide a detailed perspective of current scenario of public libraries workings and procedures in Karachi (Pakistan) and propose automation with implementation strategy. The study elaborates on the needs of automated library management system components ideally packaging into an ALMS. Differences between available library management system(s) and proposed ALMS have been highlighted as well. This study recommends the development as well as implementation architectures, development technologies required human resources, and Infrastructure (i.e. servers, client machines etc.) for ALMS as a preferred system for public libraries in Karachi. In this study we have proposed a new model for public libraries that refocuses them on the vital task of knowledge management coherent within their communities by way of forming a hub for sharing and disseminating pertinent knowledge. A multi-layered architecture has been proposed for managing information on both local and global levels by creating a connection among multiple instances of system via internet. Statistical data collected by surveying thirty public libraries all over Karachi played a pivotal role in the proposed system design. Different aspects of the system has been identified, quantified and grouped into robust and flexible modules to facilitate the common interactions with the application. The system incorporates modules as pluggable and/or reusable components using MVC design pattern to ease the process of adding, modifying, and/or deleting modules without affecting the integrity of the system. The system features an extremely fast NoSQL database for local storage for real time and offline search (while internet is down). All local databases are combined to form a global database to facilitate the passive users (book readers) of the system. The system also defines four different user-views to provide multi-level access of either the local or global database to its users. Since the horizon of technology is very fragmented, the system is designed to be extremely portable by using Electron framework which enables the application to cover all major platforms Windows, Linux, and Macintosh which are most widely used Operating systems by Institutions.

Integrated Office Information System (IOIS)

The objective of this research is to study and build a prototype of an Integrated Office Information System (IOIS). The need for this system is derived from problems in existing automated office systems including: the lack of standard software tool user interfaces, excessive use of paper to transmit information, redundant and inconsistent information in common databases, and haphazard coordination and control of information exchange. The proposed IOIS will address these problems by providing the means to accomplish a variety of office tasks while maintaining data integrity, reducing the flow of paper, improving communication, and standardizing user interfaces and software protocols. Keywords: Information systems, Information retrieval.
