Evaluating Entrepreneurship Education Model in

To boost the entrepreneurial culture in Indonesia, higher education institutions are encouraged to facilitate entrepreneurship in the curricula. In the last two decades, more and more universities in Indonesia adopt entrepreneurship education in their curriculum. The problem now is whether the entrepreneurship subjects at each university have been able to equip students with the ability to build and manage their own business, as well as to trigger students to create a business and not looking for a job after graduation. This study elaborates and evaluates entrepreneurial learning models that are applied at the University in Indonesia (case: Universitas Ma Chung). The evaluation result reveals that the entrepreneurship learning model which consist of six modules (1)"Developing Entrepreneurship Mindset", (2)"Idea Generation", (3)"Business Function", (4)"Legal Plan", (5)"Business Plan Preparation", and (6)"Business Growth" is deemed to be effective in inspiring and preparing students at Universitas Ma Chung to be entrepreneurs.

Topic of Research Paper: Critical Assessment of Entrepreneurship Education

Abstract: Entrepreneurship education is significant for the development of entrepreneurship and the economy. Through entrepreneurship courses students can increase the business opportunities and decrease the unemployed graduates. Entrepreneurship education is gaining its popularity day by day but it is facing problems also. This research paper aims at reviewing how entrepreneurship education affects students and the problems related to entrepreneurship education. The paper is based on literature review. The development and growth in curriculum and courses of entrepreneurship education has been noteworthy. The finding of the study is that entrepreneurship education has provided the essential change in research and teaching process. But there is an urgent need to improve and change the curriculum according to market conditions and transferring to practical teaching rather on theoretical teaching so that employment opportunities can be increased. Students should contact to experienced entrepreneurs rather depending on teachers only. Analysis of Entrepreneurship Education in Creating New Entrepreneurs

Entrepreneurship education is held to be able to produce graduates who are not only able to work in an institution but also open new business opportunities by becoming entrepreneurs. METHODS AND MEANS USED IN TEACHING ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN HIGH SCHOOL CAN IMPROVE ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS

„Tomorrow's illiterate will not be the one who can not read, but will be the one who has learned how to learn."( Alvin Toffler) Entrepreneurship is a key determinant of development, research and innovation that can be stimulated by specific teaching methods. When students are engaged in solving problems and experiences, they understand concepts more easily and are able to explain what they have learnet and apply this outside the classroom. Students must be actively engaged in learning. By solving problems, they are able to retain concepts a lot better. Teacher’s role is to continuously adapt teaching methods to environmental changes, direct consumer needs, ie students’ and community needs. Therefore, we have analyzed the means and teaching methods used by teachers that keep account of learning the preferences and students’ proposals. The analysis of means and methods of teaching and learning entrepreneurship, from the analysis of questionnaires used on students and teachers incolved in entrepreneurship education at higt school education, are the pillars of entrepreneurship development. This was started as an approach to propose new methods and tools to cover the gaps identified.

Abstract- This article review the entrepreneurship education literature to expose the need for engaging teaching methods in this field. This article is concerned with methods of teaching and learning entrepreneurship. At the beginning of the article stated that the definition of entrepreneurship education researchers in the various viewpoints of previous researchers, followed by teaching and learning methods are often used by lecturers in teaching entrepreneurship to students. This article also examines innovation entrepreneurship teaching and learning methods based on empirical findings from previous research studies. Entrepreneurship education has been measured one of the key instruments to enhance the entrepreneurial attitudes of both potential and nascent entrepreneurs. Influence of Entrepreneurship Course Toward The Student's Entrepreneurship Interest

The university is considered the most appropriate place to develop entrepreneurial talent through education which is expected to be able to bring up innovative and creative entrepreneurs to create jobs in the midst of the endless unemployment problem. This research aims to know the influence of entrepreneurship course toward the student's entrepreneurship interest. This type of research is an explanatory research which is included in the quantitative method with a questionnaire for data collection. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling technique. Data analysis used was using Path Analysis and used the SmartPLS 3.0 program. These results of this study indicate that entrepreneurship course has a significant positive effect on the student's entrepreneurship interest.

How to teach Entrepreneurship: Results of the new teaching methodology in the Course „Creating Innovative Companies” with graduate students

In this paper we described the course "Creating innovative companies" (6 ECTS credits) and the entrepreneurial profile of the students. The course is taught in the fourth year of the Business Administration and Management Degree, at the Faculty of Economics and Business, in the University of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain). We deal with its justification and its place in the degree, skills and objectives, program and content, activities (individual practical work, optional seminars, preparation and presentation of a business plan) and the teaching methodology, which emphasizes autonomous individual and group work, scheduled work sessions (entrepreneurship, entrepreneur, business ideas, business plan), the evaluation criteria and grading. The socio-demographic profile of the students is also presented in terms of gender; age; nationality (with a high representation of foreign students); family background; student entrepreneurial self-perception; desirability, feasibility, and intention of creating a business; and student perception of risk. The questionnaire used is based on models by Shapero (1982), Ajzen (1987) and Krueger (2007). We also presented students' evaluation of the methodology (preparation of activities, the methodology itself, the usefulness of learning activities, group work) and of the course (usefulness, interest, content, materials, assessment criteria, professors, etc.) and the achieved academic results. The findings will help us improve the adjustment of the methodology used, generating good practices that will result in a more efficient achievement of the course objectives. On the other hand, and more importantly, we would allow for knowing the impact of the training on student entrepreneurial intentions.

Enhancing Students' Entrepreneurial Skills Through Problem -Based Learning Method

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of problem based learning (PBL) method in enhancing the entrepreneurial skills of senior high school students. A quasi-experimental method was used with two group designs, the control group taught with traditional method and the experimental group exposed in PBL. A total of 70 learners were involved in the study. And a rubric was used to measure the entrepreneurial skills, communication, comprehension, collaboration and information gathering skills before and after the implementation of the teaching methods. Results revealed that the traditional group's communication and comprehension skills were described as unsatisfactory in the pretest and both marginal level in the posttest, while their cooperation and information gathering skills were both marginal level in the pretest. But their cooperation skill remains marginal while information gathering improved to satisfactory level in the post test. The experimental group's entrepreneurial skills were described as marginal level except their cooperation skill which obtained a satisfactory level. Their skills have improved to good l and satisfactory level in the posttest. Also, the mean gained result obtained by the experimental group was significantly (p< 0.05) higher than the control group. Learners exposed to PBL has shown positive perception towards the method. Hence, PBL is effective in enhancing learners' entrepreneurial skills. It is recommended that an instructional intervention utilizing PBL in the classroom of entrepreneurship be implemented.

The Problems and Alternative Solutions for the Implementation of Entrepreneurship Education in the Higher Education: A Literature Review

This study aimed to find some problems in implementing entrepreneurship education at higher education (university). The method used in this study was the literature review by searching articles on electronics journal database. The databases used in this study were Jstor, Sage, Proquest, Elsevier, Emerald, Insight, Springer Plus, and Google Scholars from 2003 to October 2019. Fifteen articles were found using five keywords: entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurial, unemployment, job seeker, and job creator. The data were analyzed by collecting the related articles, reducing them based on the topic discussion, displaying the data, and concluding. It was found that there were some problems faced during the implementation of entrepreneurship education. Thus, it can be concluded that the bigger the problem in the implementation of entrepreneurship education, the more extensive necessitate for the alternative formula. Background: The importance of entrepreneurship education in schools and colleges is also increasingly felt in this context. With entrepreneurship education, aspiring entrepreneurs can learn how to identify market opportunities, develop business ideas and manage the company well. With entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurs can also gain knowledge about marketing strategies and financial management that will help them increase the profitability of their business. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to describe the importance of starting entrepreneurship education in schools. Design and methods: This research is field research, which is research held in a field or scene with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted at SMA 1 Merangin. Results: The implementation of entrepreneurship education in schools can be done through various creative and interactive learning methods. For example, students can be invited to make a simple business plan, take part in a business simulation, or make visits to local companies. In addition, teachers can also invite successful entrepreneurs as guest speakers to share their experiences and knowledge. entrepreneurship education programs in schools have significant positive impacts. The evaluation conducted helps in identifying the weaknesses of the program and provides direction for necessary improvements.
