A Go-kart is a small four wheeled vehicle. Go-kart, by definition, has no suspension and no differential. They are usually raced on scaled down tracks, but are sometimes driven as entertainment or as a hobby by non-professionals. In this paper a go-kart has been designed, simulated, fabricated and tested for probable feasibility for undergraduate students to explore different aspect of vehicle and develop their own go-kart. This paper concentrates on explaining the design and engineering aspects of making a Go Kart for student karting championship 2020.

A go kart is a small four wheeled open vehicle basically used for racing and amusement purpose. We have designed and fabricated a go kart for our Annual Event, the Gyan Expo. Mostly, making a new go kart costs around one lakh and many are trying to build it under one lakh. We have made our go-kart under 35,000 rupees. We had totally made it from the scrap. This report explains objectives, assumptions and calculations made in designing a Go-Kart. The design in chosen such that the Kart is light, safe to drive, easy to fabricate. The other objective is to make a kart with driver comfort to increase the performance and maneuverability of the vehicle.
Detailed Design Calculations & Analysis of Go-Kart Vehicle

The main objective of this paper is to give detailed design calculation and analysis of go-kart vehicles parts. Go kart is a four wheel racing vehicle & since there is no suspension and no differential, when both rear tires turn at the same speed. The intention of this paper is modelling and analysis of go-kart vehicle parts according to their design calculation and simulation of parts. The modelling and analysis are performed by using 3D CAD design software tools such as CREO PARAMETRIC 3.0, SOLIDWORKS 2016 and subjected to simulation using ANSYS WORKBENCH 16.2 etc. where impact analysis was performed in front, rear and lateral directions. Design and Fabrication of Race Spec Go-Kart
A go kart is a small four wheeled vehicle basically used of traditional kart racing and amusement purpose. We designed and fabricated a go kart for participation at the national go kart championship. The design includes applications of extensive engineering analysis, teamwork, project management, and development of conceptual ideas. These ideas have been then converted into viable concepts ready for fabrication. The main objective of the design is to make a car that is durable as well as reliable and will last through the endurance using parts that are cost effective and easily available in India. The kart has been designed using sound design principles. The principle of triangulation has been extensively used to make sure that the chassis is extremely rigid and provides a safe cocoon for the driver in case of an accident. The vehicle has been designed in such a way that the reliability is not compromised in the pursuit of speed. The wheel and suspension geometry have been designed taking into account the track layout and prevailing conditions.
Design of Go-Kart Vehicle Systems
This paper gives description of the design considerations, dynamic analysis of various systems and mathematical data which are involved in the design of a Go-Kart vehicle. Vehiclesystemsshould meet international standards and is also cost effective at the same time without compromising performance. Fabrication and Analysis of Go-Kart Frame and Steering
The report covers all the aspects of the designing and analysis of the final go-kart chassis design. It also covers the material used and the reason of using the material in the go-kart chassis. DESIGNING AND MANUFACTURING ASPECTS OF GO-KART

The purpose of this paper is to understand the elements to take into consideration while manufacturing a Go-Kart like steering mechanism, hydraulic brakes, power-train and many more. Its main feature is that it uses four stroke engine for higher performance and also gives high fuel efficiency coupled with reduced pollution. The drive train consists of 4-stroke engine connected with CVT. We have installed kill switch system which helps in shutting off the engine. Driver can switch off and switch on the engine anytime. Electrical start eliminates the rope pulling action to crank the engine. Furthermore it has an adjustable seat for a long and short drivers so they can adjust the seats as per there comfort. Generally, in go-kart mechanical braking system is used where sometime the parts wear out and the brakes lose its efficiency so for the betterment of braking system it has a hydraulic braking system which gives a great brake power. As well as, for steering system it has an Ackerman steering system for true rolling condition or correct steering angle. It also provides a sharp turning into the race tracks. In design of frame or chassis we use cross section between the front side and the rear side, the major concern of this design to attenuate the failure together issue of safety in design.

Go-Kart racing is a constantly growing concept all over the world. Go-Kart is four wheeled vehicle designed for racing and in some countries for enjoyment purpose also. It is not a factory made product. Kart racing is accepted as it is one of the most economic forms of racing. It is bridge between theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge. It is a fun activity. We have designed, fabricated and manufactured the Go-Kart for racing application. This paper includes design of ideas, imaginary concept, designing, analysis, teamwork, project management and development, costing and budgeting. The main objective of kart is to manufacture the kart within a given period time, without any loss of time. So the remaining time can be utilized to increase the performance of kart to get better result in racing. Most of time is wasted in manufacturing and fabrication of the various parts of kart.

Theoretical calculations are to be carried out which have to be realize through several analyses. These results during front impact analysis, the chassis should meet the required factor of safety. In order to enhance factor of safety the computer aided design model was altered marginally such that it meets the safety requirements. An innovative method of design optimization has been discussed, without significant increase in the overall kerb weight of the chassis. The design and fabrication of go kart many people are trying to build with in a cost of 1lakh and we had also taken up the challenge to make a go-kart within a budget of 70K.This is a dream for which we are working with a hope of making it true. So it is sure that this project will have a high demand in the industry.
Design and Analysis of Go-Kart using Finite Element Method
There are many motor sports in the world. Bikes, Cars are examples of them. But there are also motor sports which do not need professional drivers and need no great speed. This paper explains the designing and fabricating a sound kart having high fuel economy and maximum driver comfort compactness. To achieve the objectives, the rulebook of NKRC 2017 is followed. Design Validation is done by conducting theoretical calculations, simulations and known facts. Analysis are conducted on all major components. The design has been modelled in SOLIDWORKS 2016, the analysis was done in ANSYS 16.0.
