Research on Color Watermarking Algorithm Based on RDWT-SVD

2017

In this paper, a color image watermarking algorithm based on Redundant Discrete Wavelet Transform (RDWT) and Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) is proposed. The new algorithm selects blue component of a color image to carry the watermark information since the Human Visual System (HVS) is least sensitive to it. To increase the robustness especially towards affine attacks, RDWT is adopted for its excellent shift in-variance. In addition, the SVD technique can also ensure the robustness due to the eminent properties of singular values. It is worth mentioning that the watermark information is not processed by SVD in embedding procedure, which prevents the occurrence of false positive detection. Meanwhile, to acquire a balance between imperceptibility and robustness, various scaling factor values are used towards different sub-bands. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has outstanding security, imperceptibility and robustness.

Strongly Robust and Highly Secured DWT-SVD Based Color Image Watermarking: Embedding Data in All Y, U, V Color Spaces

International Journal of Information Technology and Computer Science, 2012

In this paper 'DWT-SVD' based Color Image Watermarking technique in YUV color space using Arnold Transform is proposed. The RGB color image is converted into YUV color space. Image is decomposed by 3 level DWT and then SVD is applied. The security is increased with watermark scrambling using Arnold Transform. The watermark is embedded in all Y,U and V color spaces in HL3 region. The decomposition is done with 'Haar' which is simple, symmetric and orthogonal wavelet and the direct weighting factor is used in watermark embedding and extraction process is used. PSNR and Normalized Correlations (NC) values are tested for 10 different values of flexing factor. We got maximum PSNR up to 52.3337 for Y channel and average value of NC equal to 0.99 indicating best recovery of watermark. The proposed scheme is non blind and strongly robust to different attacks like compression, scaling, rotation, cropping and Noise addition which is tested with standard database image of size 512x512 and watermark of size 64X64.

Robust Digital Watermarking for Coloured Images using SVD and DWT Technique

Watermarking is the technique to solve the issue of copyright degradation, but this has to be resolved by keeping a steady check on the imperceptibility and robustness which incur to be its main objectives. In order to accomplish these objectives the usage of a hybrid transform is adopted in this paper, the idea behind using a hybrid transform is that the cover image is modified in its singular values rather than on the DWT subbands, therefore the watermark makes itself vulnerable to vivid attacks. Experimental results are available to support the study.

Reliable RGB color image watermarking using DWT and SVD

2014 International Conference on Informatics, Electronics & Vision (ICIEV), 2014

This paper proposes a reliable RGB color image watermarking which uses discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and singular value decomposition (SVD) for embedding and extracting watermark. The DWT and SVD applied on the watermark image increase information hiding capacity and perceptual similarity of the watermarked image. In the watermarking embedded stage, the processed watermark information using the proposed method is embedded into three color components (R, G and B) with an optimum watermarking scaling factor (α). In the extraction stage, the resultant watermark is calculated by averaging the three extracted watermarks from R, G and B components. The experimental results show that the proposed method achieves high normalized correlation (NC) of the extracted watermark and high peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) of the watermarked image after several image processing attacks. In addition, the proposed method outperforms other conventional methods in terms of perceptual similarity, robustness, and detection rate.

Recent developments in digital image and Internet technology help the common users to easily produce illegal copies of the images. In order to solve the copyright protection problems of the image, several watermarking schemes have been widely used. Very few watermarking schemes have been proposed for defining the copyrights of color image. To resolve the copyright protection problem of color image, we propose an effective, robust and imperceptible color image watermarking scheme. This scheme embeds the watermark into cover image in (Red, Green, Blue) RGB space. The combinations of Discrete Wavelet Transformation (DWT) and Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) of Blue channel is used to embed the watermark. The singular values of ditTerent subband coefficients of Blue channel are modified using different scaling factors to embed the singular values of the watermark. The copy of the watermark is embedded into four subband coefficients which is very difficult to remove or destroy. The combinations of DWT and SVD increases the security, robustness and imperceptibility of the scheme

A NEW ROBUST IMAGE WATERMARKING SCHEME BASED ON DWT WITH SVD

Image watermarking plays important role in applications like Copyright protection and Authentication. Robust watermarking is key research area in these applications in order to be resistant to most types of attacks. In addition to Robustness, high imperceptibility, security, and large capacity are other essential requirements in any watermarking scheme. This paper presents a new image watermarking scheme based on the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and the Singular Value Decomposition (SVD). The gray scale image watermark was embedded directly in the singular values of the DWT sub-bands of the host image. The scheme achieved a large capacity due to the redundancy in the DWT domain and at the same time preserved high imperceptibility due to SVD properties. Embedding the watermarking pixel's values without any modification inside the wavelet coefficient of the host image overcomes the security issue. Furthermore, the experimental results of the proposed scheme showed a high level of robustness against the image processing attacks.

Robust Digital Watermarking using DWT-DCT-SVD Algorithms for Color Image

2015

Digital image watermarking is a method of embedding piece of information into digital content (i.e. images, audio, video and text) and also provides authenticity to digital content. This paper describes the robust digital image watermarking for color image based on algorithms discrete wavelet transform (DWT), discrete cosine transform (DCT) and singular value decomposition (SVD). Performance analysis of the proposed algorithm is carried out by evaluating the performance metrics like MSE, PSNR and NCC values to check effectiveness and imperceptibility of the watermarked image with different attacks like resizing, rotation, salt and pepper noise etc. The main aim of our paper is to provide robustness, security and authenticity to the image.

International Journal of Computer Applications, 2014

This paper presents a novel watermarking scheme based on Discrete Wavelet Transforms and Singular Value Decomposition. The singular values of HL band is going to embedded with watermark singular values making use of scaling factor (α).The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is measured using peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR), structural similarity index(SSIM) and normalized correlation (NC) factors. The robustness of the proposed algorithm is tested by performing various attacks like Salt & Pepper noise, Gaussian noise and rotation etc on watermarked image. The experimental results show both the robustness and high fidelity of the algorithm.

DWT – SVD Combined Full Band Watermarking Technique for Color Images in YUV color Space

Due to the advancement in Computer technology and readily available tools, it is very easy for the unknown users to produce illegal copies of multimedia data which are floating across the Internet. In order to protect those multimedia data on the Internet many techniques are available including various encryption techniques, steganography techniques, watermarking techniques and information hiding techniques. Digital watermarking is a technique in which a piece of digital information is embedded into an image and extracted later for ownership verification. Secret digital data can be embedded either in spatial domain or in frequency domain of the cover data. In this paper, a new singular value decomposition (SVD) and discrete wavelet transformation (DWT) based technique is proposed for hiding watermark in full frequency band of color images (DSFW). The quality of the watermarked image and extracted watermark is measured using peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) and normalized correlation (NC) respectively. It is observed that the quality of the watermarked image is maintained with the value of 36dB. Robustness of proposed algorithm is tested for various attacks including salt and pepper noise and Gaussian noise, cropping and JPEG compression.
