Connecting the Link between Corporate Entrepreneurship and Innovative Performance

The studies on Corporate Entrepreneurship (CE) have grown rapidly on the last decade. CE includes three main dimensions: Proactiveness, Risk Taking and Innovativeness. CE has been initiated in established organizations for the purpose fostering innovative performance that it has the contribution of product and process innovations to a firm’s economic performance. Firms to sustain their competitive advantage in the long run have to develop their commitment to CE. This research has been conducted on SMEs being manufacturer and exporter in OSTIM which is one of the greatest industrial regions of Turkey. Hierarchical regression analyzes are conducted to examine the mediating effects of CE dimensions leading to innovative performance. Thus the results of this study provide guidelines to help both managers and entrepreneurs and also academicians to better understand the importance of CE, and how to use it to promote firms’ innovative performance.

Corporate entrepreneurship: external and internal environmental factors influences on managers’ idea generation, risk taking, and proactiveness

Because upper managers have the responsibility to set the corporate entrepreneurship agenda, their entrepreneurial characteristics matter to a firm's successful implementation of corporate entrepreneurship. This study investigated influences on the idea creation, risk taking, and proactiveness perceptions of upper managers in a random sample of 105 Thai manufacturing firms. Results indicate that these managers' idea generation was influenced by the type of product produced, the size of the company, and the extent of firm support for individual entrepreneurship. Managerial risk taking was associated with firm size and extent of support for personal entrepreneurship. Managerial proactiveness as associated only with the scope of firms' competition, firm size, organizational entrepreneurial climate and support for personal entrepreneurship. Results suggest that firm context can influence the basis for corporate entrepreneurship.

Corporate Entrepreneurship and Organizational Performance

The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of corporate entrepreneurship on organizational performance in Dangote group. Descriptive survey research design was used while a sample size of two hundred and thirty eight (238) respondents using Slovene's formula were selected out of 592 management staff of Dangote group using stratified-proportionate sampling. A Closed-ended questionnaire using 4 Likert's rating scale was distributed, the instrument was tested using face validity, and to check the internal consistence, test and retest method was employed. Pearson Linear Correlation and Multiple Regression analysis was use to analyze the data using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 21. The overall results of the study revealed that innovativeness and risk taking have no positive relationship with organizational performance, while pro-activeness has positive and significant effect on organizational performance in Dangote Group Nigeria. The study recommends that the management should pay attention to proacativeness when increasing organizational performance in Dangote Group.

Relationship between Organizational Intelligence and Entrepreneurship among University Educational Managers

Entrepreneurship is one of the important resources in all human societies regarded as one of the most important assets for each country. In todays complicated world those organizations are more important that are having human resources withrich intelligence. This study probes to find the relationship between organizational intelligence and entrepreneurship from the view point of educational managers of Mazandaran University. To this purpose a number of 202 managers were selected through census. This study is descriptive-correlational in nature and the instruments used for data collection are Albercht's Organizational Intelligence questionnaire and Robbins' entrepreneurship questionnaire. Data was analyzed through Pearson Correlation Coefficient, stepwise regression and structural equations were used to find out the relationship between variables. Results of regression analysis showed alignment and congruence had the most direct effect on entrepreneurship,( β = 0.39, P 0 / 0 › 1) and after that heart and appetite for change come. Other variables also have effects on entrepreneurship indirectly and through these three variables. The most indirect effect of variables on dependent variable is pertinent to the performance pressure ( β = 0.28) .The analytical model developed in this study for the relationship between variables shows high correlation between organizational intelligence and entrepreneurship.
