The paper is directed at contributing to the awareness of the need to emphasize the need for music education in schools. Music has largely been touted as a tool for training, however, it is practically being employed as a source of entertainment and a means of engaging learners in the classroom, thereby paying less attention to its evolving effect on the individual. Review of Artistic Education

Isolation/separation of human activity from art is a manifestation of the incoherence of our society. In scientific research, the spiritual and physical worlds are often separated. In the recovery of this dualism in the education system, but also the life of human society, an organic place must be occupied by the arts. Because it is only in the work of art that we find the expression of the human inner world, which naturally connects human life with the environment - the external world in which the artist lives/creates. Integrated education and learning are based on quality disciplinary education. The article develops the integrative functions of musical art in the process of school learning and early education and identifies the levels of musical-didactic activities integration in the educational process.

A person should constantly strive for beauty and follow these beauty rules in their daily life. The Phenomenon of Musical Art in the Education of Individuals

Phenomenon of musical art considered as one of the conditions needed to create artistic and aesthetic communication that nurtures the growth of a spiritual, moral and harmonious personality. This article focusses on finding new bases for music education. It outlines current music education and points out difficulties that are caused by rapid changes in music culture. Due to these changes, music curriculum must find new starting points. We explored and compared the main ideas about music education in its historical development. We conclude that music education today should be built on music making and listening. It can no longer be based on traditional frameworks because they are not familiar to individuals today. Music education should be based on research, and new ways of teaching and learning musical skills and knowledge should guide its practice.

Music Education for Every Child – Idea or Reality?

Contemporary pedagogical, psychological and sociological research highlight the need for music education available to every child. Starting from the fundamental point of view according to which music affects the development of the child's whole personality, this idea stands out in history since the 17th century. The Role of Music in the Education of Youth

The effect of music on human behaviour is a case having been known for centuries. There have been various studies into the source of stress, aggressive behaviours and depression dominating over the youth of university in recent years. In this study, we tried to enlighten the reasons of strains on the youth, taking the issue of the effect of music on the education of the youth. We presented the effect of various music on human behaviour with examples. We tried to explain how mysterious effect of music affected the youth, their physical and spiritual developments. We supported the issue with historical and current events. The problem is not merely Turkish-Islamic youth. In this study, we aimed the training of the youth universally by taking the whole youth in the world into consideration.

Integration of Music in Teaching/Learning Process in Schools

Arts education in music, theater, dance and the visual arts is one of the most creative ways we have to find the gold that is buried just beneath the surface. They (children) have an enthusiasm for life, a spark of creativity, and vivid imaginations that need training: training that prepares them to become confident young men and women. As I visit schools around the country I see a renewed interest in arts education and a growing concern about the negative impact of cutting art and music out of curriculum. The creativity of the arts and the joy of music should be central to the education of every Indian child. This paper discusses the advantages of integrating music in studies not only as a particular subject but also as a teaching and learning tool to other subjects and sports. The paper also focuses what musical should be incorporated in the school for fun learning and personality development and what teachers should prohibit the students to listen; musical pieces and genre which is not useful for their creative minds and brain. Analytical Study of the Relevance of Establishing Music as a Subject in Schools

Music is no longer merely a source of entertainment or fun. It has transcended towards the higher purposes and goals. From gentle lullabies to diligent healer/therapy, from merely worshiping God to brain and cognition enhancement tool, from the band rock ‘problem’ music to intense over-emotional Bollywood tracks, from the age-old folklore, rituals songs to highly auto tuned memory-setter world music.

Acquisition of Musical Cultural Values in Primary Education: Appraising the Virtue of Holistic Approach Holistiskās Pieejas Izpēte Muzikālās Kultūras Vērtību Apguvē Pamatizglītībā

The paper reviews current tendencies in making sense of the concept of holism as well as analyses relevant theoretical studies in social science about the substance and significance of holistic approach to shaping the content of primary education and to facilitating the acquisition of musical cultural values. Analysis of scientific literature germane to this topic suggested the following research aim-to ascertain the expediency of holistic approach to facilitating the acquisition of musical cultural values in primary school with due concern for enriching learners' spiritual and physical experience. The empirical study reported on in this paper draws on survey data obtained from primary education teachers in different regions of Latvia. The survey allowed for evaluating and comparing the views of primary school subject teachers on holistic approach to facilitating the acquisition of musical cultural values in Latvian primary schools.
