The main provisions of the exergy method applied to analysis of heat and power plants are considered. Results of analyzing power plants with state-of-the-art heat pump combined cycle heating systems are presented. , and other well-known scientists developed and introduced to engineering practice the ground principles of exergy analysis, including methods for calculating exergy balances and exergy loss for technical systems; methods for modeling exergy relations and cost streams between power plants and power systems of energy units; approaches to exergy distributions of costs between products produced by multipurpose energy plants and units; approaches, methods, algorithms, and techniques for exergy analysis of technical systems.
